    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay which can make a movable contact stably contact a fixed contact at all time by cleaning foreign materials generated by the sliding movement of the movable contact on the fixed contact.
      SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay is composed of a case 2 having a hollow part 2a insides, an electromagnet 5 formed by winding a coil 5b on an iron core 5a arranged inside the hollow part 2a, and a movable contact 7 capable of contact with and separate from a first contact 9 or a second contact 10 by contacting with and separating from the iron core 5a. The fixed contact 9 has a sliding piece 9a which can slide in a state that the movable contact 7 is elastically contacted. The movable contact 7 is made so as to be able to slide in a state of contacting the sliding piece by contacting with and separating from the iron core 5a.
