    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin hopper with a push-up coin passage that inserts coins with small pushing force.
      SOLUTION: A plurality of checks 24 are disposed in a coin passage 20. When a coin 4 is inserted into the coin passage 20, a floating body 241 included in the check 24 is floated upward in a position regulating groove 243 to reduce frictional force between the coin 4 and the passage 20, thereby reducing the pushing force. When the coin 4 is inserted between the two checks 24, a frictional force generated by its own weight of the coin 4 rotates or slides the floating body 241 downward to be secured and held by a support face 2431 of the position regulating groove 243 that is gradually reduced in the direction of the coin passage 20. A damage to the structure can be prevented when coins 4 different in thickness are stacked and caught, thereby achieving a simple configuration, low failure rate and satisfactory check effect.
