    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the support strength of a device part for displaying an image, while reducing the weight, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A restriction part 107 restricts the displacement of an optical member 101a partially fixed to a frame part 102, so that the application of an excessive stress to the optical member 101a and the deformation of the optical member 101a can be prevented. In other words, the restriction part 107 is used subsidiarily to improve the support strength of the optical member 101a. Further, the optical member 101a is partially fixed to the frame part 102, so that the number of fastening parts and the number of components are reduced to facilitate miniaturization and easily reduce the weight of a virtual image display device 100. Since the optical member 101a is partially fixed to the frame part 102, even when there is a difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the optical member 101a and the frame part 102, the expansion or the like of the optical member 101a is permitted for the frame part 102 and the occurrence of distortion, deformation, and damage of the optical member can be more surely prevented.
