摘要： PURPOSE:To variously deform a waveform and synthesize musical tone waveform signals having various timbres by merely multiplying read waveform data in logarithmic representation from a storage means by a specific value and then performing logarithmic linear conversion. CONSTITUTION:An operator unit OPU is equipped with a waveform table 92 as a storage means which stores digital data showing the logarithmic amplitude value of a specific waveform and also has a function which inputs phase data from other circuits as phase data for reading the waveform out at a desired pitch frequency, reads the digital waveform data in logarithmic representation out of the waveform table 92 based on the phase data, and performs a waveform varying process for the waveform before and after the reading. Therefore, the waveform deformation by multiple-degree multiplication arithmetic of the original waveform is easily performed and the degree can easily be varied by varying a specific multiple of the multiplication, so the waveform is variously deformed to synthesize musical instrument waveform signals with various timbres.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the processing time by writing a data into a time division data storage means at a comparatively high speed and then converting the speed to a lower speed suitable for time division processing. CONSTITUTION:The data write processing from a CPU and the data circulation processing by a shift register 1 and a selector 2 are implemented at a speed four times faster than the usual clock speed because clocks CLKB, CLKC are faster by four times than conventional clocks CLKA, CLKB. The read processing is implemented by the four clocks CLKB each as a rule. A latch 7 fetches an output data DTB from the shift register 1 at the leading of a pulse TM outputted from a timing generating circuit 8 and outputs th result as a latch data DTC. Thus, the data write processing speed of the CPU is increased by a multiple of four without any modification to a sound source side except registers.
