SOLUTION: This combine includes a reaping part 8, a threshing part 4 and a driving operation part 18 provided on a machine base 3 for eqiupping a pair of left and right traveling crawlers 2, a single steering handle for performing continuously variable transmission for generating a difference in driving speeds between the left and right traveling crawlers 2 and a steering mechanism. In this case, in the range of a fine steering operation for correcting an advancing course or the like for line aligning in harvesting work where a machine is moved forward roughly straight along the rows of non-cut threshing lines in a field, the speed of the traveling crawler 2 of the turning outside is increased by the rotational operation of the steering handle, the speed of the traveling crawler 2 of the turning inside is reduced and the speed increasing amount of the traveling crawler 2 of the turning outside and the speed reducing amount of the traveling crawler 2 of the turning inside are maintained roughly equal to each other.

SOLUTION: An operation for maintaining roughly constant a travel speed within a range of a roughly fixed steering operation based on the advance position of a steering handle 19 as a reference and an operation for automatically increasing/decreasing a travel speed associatively with the operation of the steering handle 19 outside the range of the steering operation are performed. A direction is changed by reducing a speed via a first speed reducing rod 131 only with the operation of the steering handle 19, then moving to a next work step, by an operation for returning to a straight advance travel, a speed is increased to the work travel speed of the previous step by the returning of the first speed reducing rod 131 and work is resumed. A travel speed changing operation following a steering operation is omitted and, even if a machine is steered to be placed along the non-harvested rows or lines during harvesting work, irregular changes in travel speed is prevented.

SOLUTION: This operating device is provided with a traveling brake device 134 serving as a travel stop/straight advance fixing means, a turning brake device 135, a parking brake device 136, a main shift neutral sensor 139 detecting the neutral position of a main shift mechanism, a steering neutral sensor 140 detecting the neutral position of a steering handle, and a straight advance display lamp 141 displaying the straight advance state of a machine body. The main shift neutral sensor 139 and the steering neutral sensor 140 are connected to a controller 142, and the controller 142 is connected to the brake devices and the display lamp 141. The brakes are operated and the display lamp 141 is lighted to report the situation to a worker based on the detection of the neutral sensors.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the safe turning of a traveling vehicle by lowering travel speed in response to operation for turning a steering wheel when the travelling vehicle travels forward or rearward. SOLUTION: A turning movement block 71 mounted with a main shift lever 13 is turningly moved around an X axis 72. A universal joint part 83 of the tip of a turning movement yoke 76 mounted turningly movable around a Y axis 74 on the block 71 is connected to a universal joint part 84 on the Y axis with a second connection lever 85, and that at the position of the tip of an intermediate arm 79 connecting to a traveling hydraulic drive means operation arm part 78 through a first connection lever 81. The yoke 76 is biased by an energizing spring 86 toward the main shift lever 13. The yoke 76 is also connected to a connecting rod 91 through a universal joint 90 and a subordinate arm 89. The axial movement of a connecting rod 91 in response to the operation of a steering wheel forcibly rotates the yoke 76 in a predetermined direction and causes the operating arm 78 to rotate toward a low speed position.

SOLUTION: A turning block 71 on which a main shift lever 13 is mounted is turned around an X axis 72, and thereby a universal joint part 79 at an end of a turning yoke 76 mounted on the block 71 so as to be turnable around a Y axis and a universal joint 80 on the Y axis at an end of operation arm part 78 of hydraulic drive means for turning are connected to each other by means of a connection arm 81. At the time of forward and rearward running the tilting direction of the yoke 76 is changed over with the lever 13 and turning operation is carried out through a steering wheel 12, then the moving direction of the arm part 78 is actuated reversely, and thus matching between the operation direction and quantity of the hydraulic drive means and the moving direction and turning angle is attempted.

SOLUTION: Rotational power from a hydraulic driving means 32 for running is transmitted to right and left a pair of planetary gear speed changing mechanisms 31, 31, a transmitting gear 53 fixed to the center shaft 43 of the left side arm ring 38 is engaged with a transmitting gear 54 fixed to the left side output shaft 21a, and the power is output. Similarly a transmitting gear 53 fixed to the center shaft 43 of the right side arm ring 38 is engaged with a transmitting gear 54 fixed to the right side output shaft 21b, and the power is output. When the transmission mechanism is constituted so that the shaft of a first hydraulic pump 33 and the shaft of a second hydraulic pump 36 are wrapped by a chain in a transmission case so as to transmit power, the power transmission position from the engine becomes one position, and hence the steering device becomes compact.
