CONSTITUTION:In a 4 cycle engine equipped with three intake valves for each cylinder for opening and closing intake and exhaust by cam shafts 22 and 23, a cylinder head 15 is made in an integral structure, a cank shaft rotational speed is reduced by two steps and transmitted to the cam shafts 22 and 23. A cam shaft heating is set between each lifter of the intake valve (circular holes 40-1 an 40-2) and a cylinder head bolt (a bolt inserting hole 50) on the intake side is set outside the lifters (circular holes 40-1 and 40-2) of the intake valve.

CONSTITUTION:Among three suction valves 2-1, 2-2 provided on one side of a combustion chamber 1, a suction port 9-1 connected to the suction valve 2-1 in the center and a suction port 9-2 connected to the suction valve 2-2 on both sides are formed on a cylinder head 5. Now the suction valve 2-1 in the center is arranged on the outer side of the cylinder against the suction valve 2-2 on both sides. In this case, both suction ports 2-1, 2-2 are opened on the side surface of the cylinder head 5 in mutually independent state and each of these openings are connected to both suction pipes 20, 21, respectively. A control valve 25, which closes at low revolution and opens at high revolution, is provided on one of the suction pipe 20 and a rotation shaft 25a of the control valve 25 is made to pass under the other suction pipe 21.

Accordingly, the temperature of the cooling water which flows in the cooling water passage 5 is not given with the influence of the temperature of the cooling water which flows in the cooling water passage 6, and the cooling water temperature on the cylinder head 2 side can be set lower than the cooling water temperature on the cylinder block 3 side by relatively increasing the flow rate of the cooling water which flows in the cooling water passage 5 by adjusting the flow rate of the cooling water which flows in the cooling water passage 6 by the orifice 12. Accordingly, the charging efficiency of the intake in an engine 1, antiknocking performance, fuel consumption, etc., can be improved.
