    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power reception device and a power transmission device of a contactless power transfer unit that enable contactless power transfer, which enable preferable power transfer even if specification differs between both devices.SOLUTION: A contactless power transfer unit 10 comprises a ground side device 11 disposed on the ground and a vehicle-side device 21 mounted on a vehicle. In the ground side device 11 are disposed a high frequency power source 12 and a power transmission device 13 having a primary side coil 13a. In the vehicle-side device 21 are disposed a power reception device 23 having a secondary side coil 23a that enables magnetic resonance with the primary side coil 13a and an automotive battery 22 to be charged by using a high frequency power received by the power reception device 23. A vehicle-side controller 27 disposed in the vehicle-side device 21, on the basis of a comparison result of a transmitting efficiency and a threshold efficiency, determines transfer to a charge sequence and modifies the threshold efficiency according to identification information of the ground side device 11.
