摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decolorize a formed image and to make the remaining image forming material invisible by the naked eye by heating the image forming material incorporating coloration compound, developer and erasing agent and developing a color on a recording medium at a temperature higher than the fusion point of the erasing agent so that the image may be erased. SOLUTION: The image is erased by heating the image forming material incorporating the coloration compound, the developer and the erasing agent and developing the color on the recording medium at the temperature higher than the fusion point of the erasing agent. In this image erasing device, paper is carried in the device with its image formed surface up and heated by a heat roller 11a, then roughed by 1st and 2nd surface roughing rollers 12a and 13a. The image on the paper is excellently erased by heating by the roller 11a. In such a case, the surface of the image forming material still remaining is rougher, so that light is scattered on the surface and light reflection is decreased. Therefore, it is impossible to discriminate that the image forming material remains on the paper.
