摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an optical element free from unevenness of polymerization and excellent in light resistance, comprising a cured product of a mixture comprising a specified liquid polymerizable prepolymer and a polymerizable aliphatic vinyl monomer. CONSTITUTION:A liquid polymerizable prepolymer (A) is obtained by performing an addition reaction of a polyene compound of formula I [wherein R are each H or CH3, R is a 2-20C (un)substituted aliphatic polyalcohol residue which may be substituted by an OH group or an (un)substituted polyalkylene ether polyol residue and m is 1-2] with polythiol compounds of formulas II and/or III [wherein R is a 2-10C (un)substituted polyvalent aliphatic hydrocarbon residue which may be substituted by an OH group, R is a 2-20C (un) substituted aliphatic polyalcohol residue which may be substituted by an OH group, p and r are each 2-4, and q is 1-2] at an equivalent ratio (in terms of the functional groups) of 2-10 in the presence of a basic catalyst. A mixture of at least 50wt.% component A and at most 50wt.% polymerizable aliphatic polyvinyl monomer (B) of a refractive index >=1.45 [e.g., ethylene glycol di(meth) acrylate] is cured to obtain an optical element of a refractive index of 1.51-1.53 and an Abbe's number >=50.

PREPARATION:For example, a monohydric alcohol expressed by formula IV is directly esterified with acrylic acid to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I. The compound expressed by formula IV is synthesized by adding an alkylene oxide to, e.g. a compound expressed by formula V.
