摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a polyamide excellent in heat resistance, mechanical properties and moldability by forming a polyamide from 2,6-bis(aminomethyl) naphthalene and an aliph. dicarboxylic acid in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION: A polyamide of which 80mol% of repeating units are represented by the formula (wherein R is a 4-20C aliph. alkylene group). The polyamide may contain 20mol% or lower diamine units other than units derived from 2,6-bis(aminomethyl)naphthalene, and pref. has such a mol.wt. that the relative viscosity ηrel of the 1g/1dl soln. thereof in 96% conc. sulfuric acid is 1.3-5.0 at 25 deg.C. The copolyamide is useful for fibers, films, injection molding materials, etc., and can be mixed with glass fibers, carbon fibers, talc, mica, etc., or with other polymers according to the application.

摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a copolyamide useful as a molding material and excellent in heat resistance and crystallinity by constructing the polymer from adipic acid units. 4,4'-diphenyldicarboxylic acid units, and hexamethylenediamine units in a specified proportion. CONSTITUTION: A copolyamide of which at least 90mol% of repeating structural units are repesented by formulas I and II and in which the molar ratio of units of formula I to units of formula II is (15/85) to (30/70). The copolyamide can be given characteristics suitable for various applications by mixing it with other thermoplastic resins and inorg. and org. fillers, and pref. has such a mol.wt. that the relative viscosity ηrel of the 1g/1dl soln. thereof in 96% conc. sulfuric acid is 1.2-5.0 at 25 deg.C.

摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound in high purity and facilitate the recovery of the product after completion of the reaction, by reaction between a diamine and an aromatic tricarboxylic anhydride under specified temperature conditions virtually in the absence of both solvent and dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION: This bisdicarboximide of formula I (Ar is a trivalent aromatic group; X is a C-contg. divalent group), is obtained by reaction between a diamine of formula II (e.g. hexamethylenediamine) and an aromatic tricarboxylic anhydride (e.g. trimellitic anhydride) virtually in the absence of both solvent and dispersion medium. Specifically, the reaction is conducted by mixing the above two components at a temperature higher than the melting point of either of the two components (raw materials) (pref. at 100-400 deg.C, esp. 150-300 deg.C). The compound of formula I is useful as a carboxylic acid raw material for varnishes or highly heat-resistant polymers such as polyamide-imides or polyester-imides.
