摘要： PURPOSE:To perform fast-forwarding playback operation by fixed-speed rotation as it is by finding the number of jumped tracks and an increment in playback address after the jump by a controller, and repeating specific operation in order according to the calculated values. CONSTITUTION:Image data are recorded on tracks 1 of a disk 2 in address order while a specific number of sectors is put in one unit, screen by screen. The light from a laser diode 20 is passed through a half-mirror 21 and a lens 3 to form an extremely small spot on the track surfaces and its reflected light is made incident on a 4-split detector 22. Its total amount is sent to the controller 15 through an RF amplifier 5, a demodulating circuit 6, and an address extracting circuit 7. The controller performs specific arithmetic and outputs the result to a data extracting circuit 8 to reproduce data of one screen, then sends its output to a lens driving circuit 11 and a slider motor driving circuit 12 to make a jump, and then repeating the one-screen reproduction thereafter. The magnification of the fast-forwarding playback operation is varied and set corresponding to the number of jumped tracks, so the fast-forwarding playback operation can be performed by the constant rotation at all times without varying the rotating speed of the disk.
