    • PURPOSE:To set liquid gasket in the form of convenient tape or sheet on joining surfaces by letting liquid gasket flow out of a gasket retaining hollow member and thereby attaching it on both the surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Liquid gasket pushing-out pores 8 are made on full length of inner wall of a gasket retaining hollow member 6. The gasket retaining hollow member 6 filled with liquid gasket 5 is inserted in between both the joining surfaces 3, 4, and the whole is tightened for pressing, by means of a bolt 15 or the like. And thus, liquid gasket 5 within the hollow space 7 is squeezed out through numerous pores 8 of the gasket retaining hollow member 6 into space between external joining surfaces 3, 4, for purpose of sealing. Accordingly, the work involved is merely placement of liquid gasket 5 in the form of convenient tape or sheet on the joining surfaces, thereby raising the work efficiency.

    • PURPOSE:To secure the best combustion state constantly by detecting the state of exhaust gas by a combustion state detector, and performing the feedback of the detected result to an intake quantity control device so as to control the opening of an intake quantity regulating valve. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid operated intake quantity regulating valve 5 is interposed in an intake passage 3 communicated with the combustion chamber 2 of a diesel engine, as well as a combustion state detector 6 for detecting the state of exhaust gas is provided at the intermediate part of an exhaust passage 4, and the output signal thereof is inputted into an intake quantity control device 7. When the signal value of the input signal is less than the specified threshold value, an opening/closing degree control signal, obtained from a pulse signal provided with the specified voltage and the pulse value computed on the basis of the threshold value and combustion state signal, is outputted from the intake quantity control device 7. The actuator 8 of the intake quantity regulating valve 5 is drivenly controlled by this opening/closing degree control signal so as to regulate the opening of the intake quantity regulating valve 5.
