    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a member excellent in shape fixability by which the occurrence of spring back or deflection after forming can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A thin steel plate is used as a material which is 0.5 MPa or more in aging index AI and 400 MPa or less in tensile strength TS. The material is subjected to aging at aging temperature T(K) in a range of 373-523 K for an aging period (s) of 10exp(9880/T)×T×(exp((AI+6)/3.9))s or longer to form a thin steel plate having yield elongation YP-El of 0.5% or more. Such a thin steel plate is used as a material for forming, and it is press-formed to make a member having a predetermined shape. Thus, its spring back or deflection is suppressed and the member is made to have excellent shape fixability. In addition, it is effective for improving shape fixability to apply temper rolling to the thin steel plate as a material beforehand.
