The central processing unit 330 judges of whether the characteristic quantity shows the noticeable hang-over happening or not, and in the case where either hang- over candidate is the noticeable object, an attention attracting signal is outputted to a man conveyor controller 21a from an interface part 331.

If waiting candidate floors exist, determination is made as to the number of waiting candidate floors and, if a plurality of waiting candidate floors are determined to exist, the direction of possible landing calling is read and, if half or more of the landing calling directions are lower-direction, a priority is given to a highest floor among the waiting candidate floors to be set as a waiting floor and the elevator is placed on standby at the waiting floor.
