    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fouling of an object to be dried, a lower part of a clothing drier, a door packing and the like by sand, dust and the like scattering from the object to be dried by providing an opening at a lower part of a cloth feeding port in the clothing drier which dries the object to be dried by rotary agitation thereof in a rotary drum. SOLUTION: In a drying cycle, an object 2 to be dried is rotated and stirred up in a driven rotary drum 3 and, for example, when it is moved to contact a part (a) of a frame 9 or in the direction of the arrow B to contact a part (b) of a door 6, the sand, dust or the like contained in the object 2 to be dried is extruded outside by an impact or the like upon the contact to be dropped into a lower part of a clothing feeding port 8. When the object moves in the direction E to be rubbed by a corner part (c) of the clothing feeding port 8, the sand, dust or the like contained in the object to be dried is extruded outside to be scattered onto the clothing feeding port 8. So, an opening part 21 is provided on the clothing feeding port 8 or a housing part 22 is provided at a lower part of the opening part 21 to house the dropped object thereby collecting the sand, dust or the like dropped or scattered.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain an efficient dried condition and reduce the drying time and the electric power consumption and further the drying cost, by automatically opening/closing a shutter in accordance with the condition whether or not a drying shelf is charged in the drying chamber and opening the shutter when the drying shelf is charged. SOLUTION: When a drying shelf 19 is set in a feed opening 3 of clothes as shown in the drawing, the hinge 19a of the drying shelf 19 gets into contact with a shelf-detection sensor 22 installed at the feed opening 3 of clothes and constituted of a piezoelectric element or the like and signal currents flow to detect the drying shelf 19. This detected signal is processed by a controller to drive a drive motor 18-1 for the shutter and open the shutter 18 by operating a drive cam 18-2 for the shutter. To the contrary, when the drying shelf 19 is removed from the feed opening 3 of clothes, the shutter 18 is closed. In this way, when the drying shelf 19 is set at the opening, the shutter is automatically opened and when it is removed from the opening, the shutter is automatically closed to execute a partly exhausting type drying.

Further, the water-cooled heatexchanging part 25 is located on the outer peripheral side which is the downstream side in the flow of the drying air, and being composed of comb-like cross-sectional blades which are projected only toward the drying air side. A cooling water spray nozzle 24 is provided being opposed to the water-cooled heat-exchanging part 25, and a temperature detecting device 50 is laid in a cooling air discharge part, and means for increasing the flow rate of cooling water when the outlet temperature of the cooling air exceeds a predetermined value.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve a repairing of a buffer plate at a low cost and easily by enabling the removing of the buffer plate simply by taking off a lifter for stirring up an object to be dried while the lifter is removed from inside a rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder part 25 of a rotary drum is provided with stoppers and a buffer plate 29 is arranged closely on the internal surface side thereof to reduce impact sound when a button and a zipper of an object to be dried hits the cylinder part 25. The length of the buffer plate 29 is made larger than the lengthen L of the inner circumference between stoppers and the plate is compressed in the circumferential direction to be mounted between the stoppers. A front groove part 30 and a rear groove part 31 are arranged to insert front and rear end parts of the buffer plate 29 and the depth of the grooves 30 and 31 is so set that one end of the buffer plate 29 comes off the grooves 30 and 31 when the buffer plate 29 moves either forward or backward. When the buffer plate 29 becomes worn.or damaged, blades 36 of lifters 32, 33 and 24 are deflected to remove. The buffer plate 29 is moved backward to get the front groove part 30 taken off and curled thereby enabling the changing of the buffer plate 29 singly.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the dryer from being used without cleaning a filter after it is clogged by providing the plural stages of levels for detecting the clogging of the filter, and raising various alarms for the respective detection levels. CONSTITUTION:At the rear part of a rotary drum 2 constituting a clothes-drying chamber, an air exit 6 is provided to exhaust circulating air for drying, and the circulating side exit of a fan casing 9 housing a double wing fan 8 at the back is communicated to a heat source 3 by ducts 13 and 14. For the heat source, a semiconductor heater is used for rapidly increasing electric resistance higher than a prescribed temperature. When a filter 22 is clogged in a drying operation, the quantity of circulating air is lowered, the temperature of the heat source itself is increased, and a current to flow is decreased. A current detection circuit detects this lowering amount and transmits it to a microcomputer. When the current value is lower than a prescribed value, the microcomputer indicates lamp display and buzzer alarm. At the first detection level of clogging, the lamp is turned on/off after the end of the operation, for example, and at the second detection level, the buzzer is rung in addition to the ON/OFF of the lamp.
