CONSTITUTION: The objective agent for promoting the antitumor effect can be prepared by using a novel lymphokine II (molecular weight, 20,000±2,000; isoelectric point, pI=6.2±0.3; mobility, Rf=0.29±0.02 by Disc-PAGE; solubility, soluble in water, saline water, and phosphate buffer solution, hardly soluble or insoluble in ethyl ether, etc.; color reactions, positive to protein by Lawry reaction, etc., positive to glucide by phenol sulfuric acid method, etc.; stability, stable at 60°C for 30min at 7.2pH, stable at 4.0W11.0pH at 4°C for 16hr, and stable for ≥1 month in frozen state at -10°C) as an active component. The novel lymphokine II is produced by treating a human-originated cell capable of producing the novel lymphokine II (e.g. leukocyte, lymphocyte, established cell, etc.) with abn inducing agent. The lymphokine is essentially harmless to the normal human call.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a physiologically active extract which exhibits various physiological effects, e.g. antimicrobial effect, antiviral effect, antitumor effect, and the like, on the mammals containing human beings, shows no toxicity and is useful for foods, cosmetics and medicines by extracting an ethyl acetate- soluble component from fresh Polygonum tinctorium. SOLUTION: This physiologically active extract is prepared by immersing fresh Polygonum tinctorium in an organic solvent (e.g. methanol, ethyl acetate, or the like) to extract an ethyl acetate-soluble component and collecting the component. It is favorable that the fresh Polygonum tinctorium is collected prior to fructification and a part or the whole of the fresh terrestrial part is washed with water, immersed in an organic solvent of a 1-100 fold amount in volume and extracted for 0.1-100 hr under warming. Although the extract obtained by the above method is usable even in the same form as in just after prepared, it is favorable to remove an insoluble content by means of filtration, fractionation, fractional precipitation, decantation and/or centrifugal separation, then distill off the organic solvent and purify by means of salting, out or the like, depending on the final use.

Then, the glycolipid is properly combined with a carrier, a diluent, a stabilizer, etc., and prepared in liquid, paste and solid. The blood coagulation promoter comprises normally about 0.01-100wt.% of the glycolipid. The blood coagulation promoter may comprise a complex obtained by associating the glycolipid with a blood coagulating substance in the presence of a surfactant. The surfactant is used in (1:0.001) to (1:1000), preferably (1:0.01) to (1:100) weight ratio of the surfactant to the glycolipid. Then, the excess surfactant is removed to provide the objective blood coagulation promoter.
