A slide stage 17 is moved forward until the slide stage abuts against a forward-movement limit stopper surface 19a (b). After coupling means couples the slide block 16 and the slide stage 17 each other, the slide stage 17 is moved backward until the slide stage abuts against a backward-movement limit stopper 19b. In a state (c) in which the optical fiber 2a is not an obstacle, cutting wastes in the adhesive filled recessed part 6 are removed with an air blow. The optical fiber 2a never sinks into the optical fiber hole, so the problem that the cutting wastes are produced during re-protrusion does not arise.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector cleaning tool in which the diameter of a take-up reel can be reduced even using a tape-shaped cleaning body.SOLUTION: An optical connector cleaning tool provided with a tool body and an extended section which is extended from the tool body. The tool body has: a feeding mechanism for supplying and taking up a cleaning body; a rotation mechanism; and a containing body for containing the feeding mechanism and the rotation mechanism. The extended section has an extended tube body and a head member. The feeding mechanism has a cleaning body supply reel, a cleaning body winding reel, and a traverse mechanism which, in winding operation, moves the cleaning body parallel to the axis of the winding reel at a position before the winding reel. The containing body is provided with a drive body which moves forward to rotationally drive the winding reel in the winding direction, thereby feeding and moving the cleaning body. The rotation mechanism is provided with a rotation shaft for rotating the head member by the relative movement of the containing body. A cleaning body insertion hole is formed in the rotation shaft. The traverse mechanism moves a cleaning body winding position in the direction parallel to the axis of the winding reel.
