    • PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor thermal recording material excellent in whiteness, surface smoothness and glossiness by using a support obtained by applying a compsn. prepared by mixing polyester and titanium dioxide to raw paper at least on the thermal recording layer coating side thereof and coating this support with a thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A full-color thermal recording material is constituted by applying a multicolor thermal recording layer on a support 1. That is, a transparent cyan thermal layer 2, a transparent yellow thermal layer 4 and a transparent magenta thermal layer 6 are successively laminated on the support 1 through intermediate layers 2, 5 and a transparent protective layer 7 is provided on the thermal layer 6 to form the multicolor thermal recording layer. In this case, the support 1 is formed by applying a compsn. prepared by mixing polyester based on polyethylene terephthalate and titanium dioxide to raw paper at least on the thermal recording layer coating side thereof. By this constitution, since polyester is tougher and finer than polyolefin, a recording material excellent in whiteness, surface smoothness and glosiness can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-sensitive recording sheet having little fogging on processing and excellent developed color density on copying a typewritten or hand-written original, by using a paper material having a specified fiber length distribution. CONSTITUTION:A paper material in which the sum of the amount of the residue of 24-mesh sieve and the amount of the residue on a 42-mesh sieve in a fiber length distribution measured by sieve analysis is not more than 65wt% is used, whereby fogging on processing of a pressure-sensitive recording sheet is markedly reduced, and developed color density is enhanced. A wood pulp is preferably used, which preferably comprises hardwood pulp (L material) and soft wood pulp (N material) in a ratio of L material to N material of 50/50-100/0. To obtain the above fiber length distribution, it is preferable to perform a beating operation by a bearing machine such as a beater and a refiner so as to obtain a Canadian standard freeness (JIS P-8121) of not more than 650cc and not less than 100cc.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the occurrence of curl, by providing a heat-sensitive recording layer on a luster surface prepared by drying a felt side of a wire side of base paper by a Yankee drier, and by rolling the paper with the felt side positioned outside. CONSTITUTION:In the case when heat-sensitive paper is rolled with a heat- sensitive coat surface outside, a small roll of the paper with little curl is obtained by using base paper which has a tendency of curling in the CD axis and whose luster surface coated with a heat-sensitive liquid is positioned inside, i.e. the base paper having the luster surface on a feld side and a rough surface on a wire side. In the case when the paper is rolled with the heat-sensitive coat surface inside, the small roll of the heat-sensitive paper with little curl is obtained by using base paper which has the tendency of curling in the CD axis and whose luster surface coated with the heat-sensitive liquid is positioned outside, i.e. the base paper having the luster surface on the wire side and the rough surface on the felt side.
