    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a re-stopping at a starting time when an overcurrent stops and entirely improve a rising of heating capability when started. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 11, an outdoor heat exchanger 13, an expansion valve 15, indoor heat exchangers 16a, 16b, 16c and 16d are connected in series by pipe passages 17a, 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d, 17d, 17e and 17f. The discharging pipe passage 17a has a first opening or closing valve 18 having a checking function, its upstream side and the suction pipe passage 17f are connected by a uniform pressure pipe passage 19 through a second opening or closing valve 20. There is provided a protection device 1 for sensing an over-current and stopping the compressor 11. An air conditioner is constructed to have the above arrangement. A control part judges whether or not the stopping of the compressor 11 is caused by the protection device 1 and if it judges that the protection device is not applied, the expansion valve 15 is fully closed in concurrent with a starting of the opening of the predetermined period of time of the second opening or closing valve 20 and in turn when it is judged yes, the expansion valve 15 is fully closed after a predetermined time elapses from the starting of opening for the predetermined period of time of the second opening or closing valve 20.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency of interruptions of operation by restricting a pressure increase upon switching of the operation from bath tank heating to bath room warming by actuating both first and second heat exchangers as condensers for a predetermined period of time, and thereafter switching the actuation to on operation where only the second heat exchanger acts as a condenser. CONSTITUTION:For a predetermined period of time t1 from a switching time C when operation is switched from bath tank heating to bath room warming, a wind fan 50 and a circulation pump 46 are simultaneously operated to permit a bath heat exchanger 29 and a bath room heat exchanger 30 to both act as condensers. Accordingly, compression capability of a compressor 1 is lowered to initial frequency for the heat exchanger 30 while high pressure is progressively reduced as indicated by a solid line in the figure, so that compression capability corresponding to condensation capability of bath room heat exchanger 30 is assured without causing any abnormal pressure rise. Thereafter, the circulation pump 46 is stopped and only the wind fan 50 is operated. Hereby, the operation is transferred to bath room warming without causing forced interruption of the compressor 1. Thus, the compressor 1 is prevented from abnormally interrupted owing to the rise of the high pressure, thereby reducing the frequency of starts and interruptions of the operation.

    • PURPOSE:To automatically eliminate a lack of gas caused by a liquid accumulation at an indoor heat exchanger by a method wherein when the lack of gas is detected, and opening or closing valve and a flow rate control valve corresponding to an indoor device are kept at a valve opening state for a predetermined period of time and thereafter the opening or closing valve is closed. CONSTITUTION:In case that a lack of gas is generated during a heating operation due to an occurrence of excessive accumulation of liquid at an indoor heat exchanger 36, an opening or closing valve 33 and flow rate control valves 24 corresponding to indoor devices A to C are opened for a predetermined period of time. With this arrangement, discharged gas refrigerant from a compressor 1 is divided to flow to a heating heat exchanger 37 and an indoor heat exchanger 36. Liquid refrigerant accumulated within the indoor heat exchanger 36 is pushed by this gas refrigerant from an air conditioned room side liquid pipe 18 into a liquid pipe 17, i.e., a refrigerant circulating a passage during a heating operation. After that, the opening or closing valve 33 is closed, an interior of each of the indoor heat exchangers 36 is replaced with a gas refrigerant, the previous liquid refrigerant is accommodated in the circulated refrigerant to perform the heating operation, resulting in that the heating operation without lack of gas is continued.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of rooms where a heating operation is terminated without damaging a comfortable feeling of a user of a bath in order to keep a bath heating capability at a value more than a predetermined value by a method wherein a plurality of indoor units during a simultaneous heating operation are stopped in sequence in accordance with an order of priority. CONSTITUTION:An operation controlling means 51 performs a heating operation of each of indoor units A-C through an operation of a refrigerant compressor and a bath heating operation of an additional heating unit Y. In this case, a bath heating capability to be detected by a sensing means 60 is monitored by a bath heating capability monitoring means 55. As the bath heating capability is less than a reference value, each of the indoor units A-C during its heating operation is controlled in sequence for its termination in accordance with an order of priority by a priority order discriminating means 59 and then the bath heating capability is kept at a predetermined capability. In this way, it is possible to keep a simultaneous heating operation for several rooms where a capability of the compressor is utilized as much as possible without damaging a comfortable feeling of a user of bath and further to reduce the number of rooms where a heating operation is forcedly terminated more than that of the conventional one.
