摘要： PURPOSE:To carry out the deashing of coal in high efficiency, by addng a specific amount of an oil to a coal-water slurry obtained by mixing coal powder and water, and stirring the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The coagulation tank 3 is charged with a coal-water slurry 1 (preferably about 80% of the coal powder passes through a 200 mesh sieve, and the coal content of the slurry is 30-50wt%) and an oil 2 (22-30wt% of the coal) to obtain the liquid 8 to be treated. The liquid is stirred uniformly by the mutual action of the liquid 8 and the baffle 4 caused by the rotation of the stirring blades 5 with the driving motor 7 through the rotary shaft 6. The coal particles are coagulated together by the binding action of the oil. The coagulate is sent to the first granulation tank 10 by the slurry pump 9, and stirred in the similar way as the coagulation tank 3. The bonding force of coal particles in the coagulate is strengthened by the procedure to obtain granules 11, and the ash existing in the coal-water slurry 1 is separated from the coal and left in the liquid phase. The slurry is sent to the second granulation tank 13, treated similarly to the above, and the deashing is completed to obtain deashed coal 17.

In this case, coal in the pulp is ground in such a manner that the particle size is 2m/m to 3m/m at maximum and 8.5% to 16% of the coal is -200 mesh, which results in lessening the amount of binder used in underwater granulation.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate the waste in time and driving power after the case in which granulation is completed in the midway in an underwater granulation process system wherein plural tanks provided with agitators are connected by making the granules removable from the tanks in the midway. CONSTITUTION:Granulating tanks 2-7 connected so as to permit transfer of granulating liquid are respectively provided with agitators 12-17, and the respective tanks share the processes of granulation under the agitating effect of said agitators. When the granulation is completed within the time 4/5 or 3/5 the usual time on account of a change in the nature of the carbon supplied or a change in the rate of supplying, the granulated carbon and waste are discharged through a discharge circuit 18 mounted between the 4th granulating tank 5 or the 3rd granulating tank 6 and a dewatering device 9 without operating the agitators 17 or 16 and 17.
