CONSTITUTION:A main scanning carriage 11 is driven in the Y axis along a main scanning rail 11A with a sub scanning carriage 12 and the carriage 12 is driven in the X direction along the sub scanning rail 12A prolonged in the X axis direction. While the carriage 12 is stopped, the carriage 11 is moved from a point A to a point B, an original picture with a prescribed width is read by a sensor 7 and the carriage 11 restores to the point A. Then the carriage 12 is moved by a width read by the sensor 7 in the X axis direction from the point (a) and the carriage 11 is moved from the point A to the point B in the Y axis direction to read the succeeding picture. In this case, the light from a halogen lamp 2 to the electric component 8 is shielded by a holder 20 of the lens array 11 and a reflecting shade 4B and the light from the lamp does not reach the component 8.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eject a sheet at speed in which a processing device is not disturbed after ejecting paper regardless of the carrying speed of the sheet by holding the sheet where fixing is executed at a second carrying speed, between a fixing means and an ejecting means so as to reach the ejecting means after passing through the fixing means. SOLUTION: In the case of forming an image, OHP paper 12 is guided to a holding means having guides 14a and 14b by switching the position of a flapper 13 and is further carried by a first carrying roller 15. A carrying speed V1 (second carrying speed) at this time is set lower than a usual carrying speed V (first carrying speed) in order to execute the fixing. When the rear end of the OHP paper 12 passes through the flapper 13, the OHP paper 12 is switched back by reversely rotating the first and second carrying rollers 15 and 16. The carrying speeds of the respective first and second carrying rollers 15 and 16 and a pair of ejection rollers 10 are set to speed V2 that is higher than the speed V1. Thus, the OHP paper 12 is ejected before the occurrence of curling caused by being hung during being ejected.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eject a sheet at a speed without any trouble in loading, regardless of the carrying speed of the sheet when it passes through a fixing means by providing a holding means for keeping the sheet between the fixing means and an ejecting means. SOLUTION: When an image is formed on an OHP sheet 12, the position of a flapper 13 is switched and the sheet 12 is guided to a reverse path 14 as the holding means having guides 14a and 14b and further, carried by a first carrying roller 15. The carrying speed V1 (second carrying speed) at this time is slower than a normal carrying speed V (first carrying speed), to attain fixation on the sheet 12. For instance, the carrying speed V1 is set 25mm/s with respect to the fact that the normal carrying speed V is 100mm/s. But, these values are different according to the outside diameter, material quality, etc., of the roller of a fixing unit. A backward feeding preventing flapper 17 is added to change the switching of the flapper 13 and the control of the drive of the first and second carrying rollers 15 and 16, etc.
