    • PURPOSE:To agitate a coating material effectively almost without wrapping air therein by drawing the coating material in a container in the circumferential tangent line of an inner peripheral wall of an inner peripheral lower section in a cylindrical container for agitating the coating material and injecting the drawn coating material into the container. CONSTITUTION:A pigment dispersion group-coating material 4 is fed into a cylindrical container 1 for agitating a coating material, and a cover is placed on the container 1, and then an expansion pump 2 is actuated. As said pump 2 is expanded, so the coating material in the container 1 is drawn once into the pump, and then the coating material is injected into the container 1 as the pump is contracted. Said injection is carried out in the direction of the inner peripheral wall-lower section of the container 1 and in the circumferential tangent line direction of said inner peripheral wall, and the injected coating material generates swirl flow 3 in the container 1. As a result, air is scarcely wrapped in and effective agitation of the coating material can be carried out.

    • PURPOSE:To uniformize the distribution of the coating compd. particles in a coating film by heating a cylindrical base from the inside thereof in an initial period of a drying to finger touch and preventing the movement of the particles in the radial direction within the coating liquid film occurring in the difference in the grain size or sp. gr. of the coating compd. components by the centrifugal force of rotation. CONSTITUTION:After the coating liquid is applied on the surface of the cylindrical base 1, the base is subjected to a leveling rotation for a specified period of time and thereafter, hot wind is blown by a blower 15 into the cylindrical base 1 in the initial period of the drying to finger touch to accelerate the evaporation of the coating component solvent in the coated film 4. The gradient of temp. and concn. is generated in the coating liquid film 4 by evaporation and the temp. on the surface of the coating film 4 is lowered by the evaporation heat. The liquid near the base 1 is heated and is forced to move toward the surface of the coating film. Such convection is actively generated by the heating in the base 1 and the movement of the coating components is generated. The movement of the coating components in the radial direction within the coating liquid film 4 occurring in the difference in the grain size or sp. gr. of the coating components by the centrifugal force of rotation of the base 1 is, therefore, prevented. The coating compd. particles are uniformly distributed in the coated film in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of a film thickness and the surface condition of the coating film and to prevent the generation of defects of the coating film by heating the coating liquid film on the surface of a cylindrical base at the temp. within the range where the solidification of the components constituting the coating liquid film and the roughening of the surface do not arise from the inside of the cylindrical base, thereby forming the coating film layer dried to finger touch. CONSTITUTION:The revolving shaft 2 of the cylindrical base 1 is held horizontal and while the cylindrical base is kept rotated at a prescribed speed around the revolving shaft 2, a coating compd. is substantially not atomized and is discharged from a coating compd. discharge gun 5 having a very small aperture 12 onto the surface of the cylindrical base 1 or the coated film layer on this surface to form the coating liquid film 14. The cylindrical base 1 is thereafter heated by a blower 15 or heater 16 from the inside thereof at the temp. of the range where the solidification of the components constituting the coating liquid film and the roughening of the surface do not arise to form the coating film layer dried to finger touch. The uniformity of the surface condition of the coating film and the film thickness is improved and the generation of the defects in the coating film is prevented.
