摘要： PURPOSE:To realize stable recording characteristic by forming a protective film in a manner that the film has enough thickness to prevent the fracture of a light reflecting film due to deformation along the light reflecting film and the protective film accompanying the formation of pits in a recording film. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording medium 1 consists of a recording film 12 formed on a light transmitting substrate 11, a light reflecting film 13 formed on the recording film 12, and further a protective film 14 formed on the light reflecting film 13. This protective film 14 has enough thickness to prevent the fracture of the light reflecting film due to deformation in the light reflecting film 13 and the protective film 14 caused by the formation of pits in the recording film 12. When the protective film 14 is formed too thin, reproduced waves are deteriorated by the deformation of the light reflecting film 13 and protective film 14 caused by the formation of pits, and if further too thin, the reflecting film 13 and the protective film 14 are partly broken. Thus, the protective film 14 has enough thickness to prevent such problems so that normal reproduction can be stably performed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a pit from nonalignment and to improve a play back characteristic by a method wherein in an optical recording medium in which a recording layer and an optical reflection layer are provided onto a light transmitting substrate, the recording layer is made to contain a pigment by rejecting variation in shape by radiation of recording light. CONSTITUTION:In an optical recording medium wherein a recording layer 12 and an optical reflecting layer 13 are provided on a writable optical recording medium 1 especially on an optical transmitting substrate 11 and, if necessary, a protective layer 14 is provided on the optical reflecting layer 13, the recording layer 12 is made to contain a pigment fading by rejecting variation in shape by radiation of recording light. Then, this pigment shall be a phthalocyanine pigment as given in the general formula described right In the formula, Me represents any one of Si atom Al atom, or Ga atom, and Pc represents a phthalocyanine ring. Further, n represents an integer of 1-5, and m represents 1 or 2. The recording layer 12 containing phthalocyanine pigment is coated by a spin coat application method, and its thickness shall be about 1000nm-2000nm.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of electron emission for enhanced reliability by providing an electron supply layer with a siliside layer on the interface between an ohmic electrode and the electron supply layer or on the interface between an insulator layer and the electron supply layer or in the middle of the electron supply layer. SOLUTION: An ohmic electrode 11 is formed on a glass element substrate 10, an electron supply layer 12 made of a semiconductor such as metal or Si is formed thereover, and further an insulator layer 13 made of SiO2 or the like and a metallic thin-film electrode 15 are deposited thereover. A thermally stable siliside layer 14 which is an intermetallic compound of Si is provided in the middle of the electron supply layer 12. The insulator layer 13 is made of a dielectric substance, having a very large film thickness of 50 nm or more. By providing the siliside layer 14 on the interface between the ohmic electrode 11 and the electron supply layer 12 or on the interface between the electron supply layer 12 and the insulator layer 13 or as a multiple layer inside the electron supply layer 12, a low-voltage, stable emission current can be obtained.
