    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the recovery of a ruptured head by providing a holding member such as a snap ring which has the shape protruding in the direction of inner radial direction by sufficient distance for the contact of the holding member of a bit on an inner peripheral face of a wear-resistant collar. SOLUTION: A cylindrical chuck 10 is connected to a drill string casing 14 by a screw 12. A shunk 20 which is engaged in such a manner that it is driven together with the chuck 10 and is elongated in the axial direction is provided in a drill bit 13. A soft holding member 50 which protrudes in the radial direction by sufficient distance for stopping a holding shoulder 32 when the shunk 20 is ruptured and a part of a bit head 26 drops downward in the axial direction is connected to an inner face 52 of a hollow, cylindrical, and wear-resistant collar 42 in such a manner that is can be attached and detached freely between the wear-resistant collar 42 and the bit head 26. It is recommended that the hold member 50 be a snap ring. Consequently, it is possible to hold the bit head 26 in the chuck 10 even if it leaves the shunk 20. Accordingly, it is possible to recover the bit head even when the bit 3 is ruptured.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve connecting workability by providing with a suction flow pipe joint provided with a suction flow connector main body having the suction flow opening port formed on first and second ends and formed between both ends, and a delivery flow connector provided with a delivery flow connector main body having a delivery flow opening port formed on the first and second ends and between both ends. SOLUTION: A fluid pump 10 is provided with a main body 12 with a flange for supporting an air motor 14, and first and second fluid end caps 16, 18 are fastened on both sides of the main body 12 by bolts. Each of caps 16, 18 are provided with integrated leading pipes 20, 22 communicated with respective cavities, and an intake manifold 40 and a discharge manifold 30 are communicated and connected with/to respective both ends. Each of manifolds 30, 40 are formed integratedly with respective check valve housings 39, and also flanges having bolts 54 are formed integratedly with a manifold main body, which are arranged at intervals on the same side as a pump, and be connected to flow leading pipes respectively.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily convert the surface shape of a drum by arranging a plurality of arcuate mounting members with a padfoot outer surface around the flat outer surface of the cylindrical type primary drum and mutually connecting the outer surface and the mounting members. SOLUTION: When the outer surface of a cylindrical primary drum 1 for a compacting machine is changed into a padfoot surface from a flat outer surface 3, a plurality of flexible arcuate mounting members 10 bent so as to be brought close to the arcuate curvature of the outer surface of the primary drum 1 are arranged onto the outer surface 3 of the primary drum 1. Adjacent mounting pads 30 installed at the connecting edges 14 of the plate members 12 of each mounting member 10 are brought into contact while being connected by fastener means 24 comprising nuts 26 and bolts 28, and the mounting members 10 are connected mutually. Accordingly, since the positions of the mounting members 10 need not be aligned with the boltholes of the primary drum 1 as seen in conventional devices, the outer surface 3 of the primary drum 1 can be converted into the padfoot surface from the flat surface.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the service life of a nozzle by constructing a nozzle of a water jet cutter from a first material, and implanting an aggregation of ions formed from a second material onto a surface of the nozzle. CONSTITUTION: A water jet cutter 11 comprises a fluid nozzle assembly 10, and this is formed by a nozzle 12, a nozzle mount base 14 for retaining this nozzle 12, and a seal 16 for preventing the flow of fluid between the nozzle 12 and the nozzle mount base 14. On this occasion, the nozzle 12 is constructed from a first jewel material such as diamond or corundum, and a second material ion 20 such as titanium, nickel or chromium is implanted onto a surface of the first jewel material under acceleration. Whereby the molecular voids and the fine cracks in a crystalline structure of the first material are sealed, the toughness, solidity and smoothness of the nozzle 12 can be improved and the life of the nozzle 12 can be elongated.
