    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a needle in an initial state when the distal end portion is inserted into internal organs in an ultrasonic suture device.
      SOLUTION: The needle 22 is retained by a first retaining part 20 provided on the main body. The needle 22 is pulled out of the first retaining part 20 by a second retaining part formed on a slider end part 62 when suturing. The slider end part 62 is positioned in an advancing state in a manner to partially hide the upper suturing space during the insertion, and a halt state that the needle is halted immediately before being transferred to the second retaining part from the first retaining part as shown by a chained line between two points is formed. The retaining state of the needle is maintained since the suture device effectively prevents tissues from entering into the upper side suturing space. An opening part is formed at the slider end part 62, and the transmission and reception of ultrasound are performed through the opening part even in the halt state.

The distal end side position of a wave transmitting and receiving surface 30 is practically placed on the distal end position of the upper side suturing space, and consequently, the needle is made into an image sufficiently.
