    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for rewriting card, the amount of generation of curling in which after the manufacturing thereof is little and, at the same time, the amount of generation of curling in which even after the repetition of printing thereonto and erasion therefrom is little, and the rewriting card. SOLUTION: The base material comprises two layers each made of a thermoplastic resin with a deflection temperature under load measured by the JIS K7191 A method of 50-150°C and, at the same time, the base materials for the rewriting cards have different deflection temperature to the thermoplastic resin making respective layers from each other. The rewriting card is formed by laminating an overlay, the base material and a rewriting layer in the order named under the laminating condition that the deflection temperature under load of the thermoplastic resin of the layer contacting with the rewriting layer is set to become higher than that of the thermoplastic resin of the layer contacting with the overlay.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ester-based resin composition capable of easily improving birefringence by adding further a sorbitol derivative to a resin composition consisting mainly of the cellulose ester-based resin and a plasticizer, and to obtain a retardation film from the resin composition. SOLUTION: This resin composition is obtained by adding (C) 0.01 to 10 wt.% sorbitol derivative to a mixture containing (A) 50 to 99 wt.% cellulose ester-based resin and (B) 50 to 1 wt.% plasticizer having >9.0 (cal/cm 3 ) 1/2 solubility parameter calculated in accordance with the Small method [provided that, (A)+(B)=100 wt.%].
