    • PURPOSE:To prevent local abrasion and simplify a structure by rotatably holding a first rolling element which is slidably brought into contact with first and second guide faces and a second rolling element slidingly brought into contact with the first and a third guide faces, on a retainer. CONSTITUTION:By moving an operating member 4 in the axial direction, the relative position in the axial direction of second and third guide faces 12, 18 to a first guide face 7 is changed and, in accordance with this, the sliding contact positions of the first and second rolling bodies 5, 6 with the guide faces 7, 12, 18 are changed. The way of transmitting revolving components of the rolling elements 5, 6 between an input shaft 1 and an output shaft 2 is changed to achieve speed change. Further, since the sliding contact positions between the first and second rolling elements 5, 6 and guide faces 7, 12, 18 are changed, the generation of local abrasion can be avoided. Also, since it is not necessary to energize the rolling elements with springs as before, there is no fear of deterioration enabling the structure to be simplified as much.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the whole structure by bringing the semispherical portions on both ends of an elliptical rolling body into contact with a first guide face provided on an output shaft, a second guide face provided on a first power transmitting member, a third guide face provided on a second power transmitting member, and a fourth guide face provided on a floating member. CONSTITUTION:When a load applied to an output shaft 4 becomes lower than a certain value, the output shaft 4 is rotated and, since a load applied to a first power transmitting member 6 also becomes low, the distance between both opposite faces 22, 23 of a pressure regulating mechanism 12 becomes small and the relative positions in the axial direction of first and second guide faces 3, 5 to third and fourth guide faces 7, 9 are varied making the rotating axes C of rolling bodies 11 inclined with respect to the axis of the output shaft 4. In this case, each rolling body 11 revolves around the first power transmitting member 6 while rotating on its axis to give a turning force to the output shaft 4 by means of the differential action at that time. Further, a more increased turning force than that of the input shaft 2 is given to the output shaft 4. That is, the rotating speed of the output shaft 4 is automatically varied from zero to a speed higher than that of the input shaft 2 in accordance with a load.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a continuously variable transmission and prevent creation of both vibration and noise by turning two eccentric rotary bodies, to oscillate carriers in the different phases and taking out those oscillation motions from a transmitting shaft. CONSTITUTION:When an input shaft 7 is turned, a primary eccentric rotary body 27 and a secondary eccentric rotary body 28 start turning and primary and secondary carriers 43 and 50 then start oscillating motion. The oscillating motions of said carriers are taken out as output of a high torque from an output shaft 14 via both a transmission shaft 37 and a speed changing wheel 18. To vary speed change ratio, an operating member 9 has only to be screwed forward or rearward. The rate of eccentricty between the primary and the secondary eccentric rotary bodies are thereby varied so that reduction ratio may be also varied.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify sealing, by producing pump-action with only conical motion, without rotation of a swing plate installed as one body in a spherical body which is supported by a pump casing. CONSTITUTION:When a drive source 20 is driven, a conical ring 28 rotates around a drive shaft 22 and since this conical ring 28 is pressed to a drive disc 18, it moves along the circumference of the disc 18 while rotating itself according to this rotation. At this time, the disc 18 is no longer rotated because its integrated swing plate 9 is prevented from rotation by means of a diaphragm body 12. Therefore, according to rotation around an axis of the shaft 22 of the conical ring 28, a swing plate 16 will carry out conical motion around a point O and thereby a contact part between surfaces 10 and 11 of the swing plate 9 and the side of a hollow chamber 3 moves in the circumferential direction; pump-action is thus achieved.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a power transmission arrangement which can transmit only rotational power from an input power shaft to an output power shaft without any communication of liquid between a driving chamber in which the input power shaft is disposed and a driven chamber in which the output power shaft is disposed and which can transmit the rotation of the input power shaft to the output power shaft at a reduced speed by providing same with a diaphragm for separating the driving chamber from the driven chamber. CONSTITUTION:An input power shaft 6 is rotatably received in a hollow chamber formed in a casing C. An eccentric rotational member 9 is rotatably mounted on an eccentric peripheral section 17 of the input power shaft 7. The eccentric rotational member 9 is fitted in a center hole of a flexible diaphragm 17 in the form of a curved plate. The diaphragm 17 has its peripheral section secured to the casing C such that it partitions the hollow chamber of the casing C to define a driving chamber a and a driven chamber b. On the other hand, an eccentric wheel section 93 of the eccentric rotational member 9 is located in the driven chamber b, and a planetary rotational wheel 10 which is contacted, at its outer periphery, with the cylindrical inner periphery of the casing C without any relative sliding movement therebetween is rotatably fitted around the outer periphery of the eccentric wheel section 93. An inner end of the output power shaft 14 located in the driven chamber b is loosely fitted in the rotational wheel 10. Thus, only rotational motion of the rotational wheel 10 around its own axis can be transmitted to the output power shaft 14.
