    • PURPOSE: A low-temperature carbonization device of indirect heating type to modify especially low-quality coal with high water content into coal with high calorie, by arranging a spiral heating tube at plural steps in a cylindrical container, feeding dried coal from the top and taking out carbonized coal from the bottom.
      CONSTITUTION: Coarsely powdered low-quality coal is dehydrated by a dryer, and the dried coal is fed from the top entrance of a carbonization device having the heating tube 8 wherein the spiral heating tube 8a is arranged at plural steps horizontally in a cylindrical container. The coal is usually carbonized at 250W450°C while being lowered on the surface of the heating tube 8, and taken out from the bottom.
      EFFECT: Low-temperature carbonization can be continuously carried out by a compact carbonization device of movable layer type having no power, and economic modification is done.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization treatment apparatus which quickly raises the temperature in a carbonization chamber and can retain heat.
      SOLUTION: The carbonization treatment apparatus has a furnace body 1 having an upward openable introduction port 5, an openable cover member 6 for covering the introduction port 5, and a carbonization chamber 2 for performing carbonization treatment of organic waste introduced thereinto in a sealed, oxygen-free state, and a smoke dissipation device 3 for performing smoke dissipation treatment of the smoke generated in the carbonization chamber 2 of the furnace body 1, and simultaneously a heat supply chamber 4 for supplying heat to the furnace body 1 provided around the side outer wall 7 and on the bottom wall 8 of the furnace body 1. Furthermore, the carbonization treatment apparatus is constituted by guiding the high temperature gas generated in the smoke dissipation device 3 into the heat supply chamber 4.
