摘要： PURPOSE:To easily adsorb odor of chlorine and mold in water to prevent a change in taste when coffee is percolated, by a method wherein a replaceable filter is placed in a water path between a water tank and coffee powder, and the filter consists at least of an activated carbon or activated carbon fiber layer on top and a sheet of filter paper at bottom. CONSTITUTION:Water is poured in a water tank 2, and powdered coffee 5 is put into percolating basket 6 in which a lower filter 10 is placed at bottom. Then, an upper filter 7 is placed on the top of the percolating basket 6. After that, the dripping flow rate is adjusted by controlling a flow control valve 4, and coffee percolating is started. While the water dripping from the flow control valve 4 passes through the upper filter 7, the odor of chlorine and mold in the water is adsorbed by an activated carbon layer 8 of the upper filter 7. Activated carbon fiber produces black powder when it is used alone, however, the black powder is prevented from reaching the coffee powder because a sheet of filter paper 9 is placed under the activated carbon layer. Thus, the taste is not changed as impurities are adsorbed when coffee is percolated.
