摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a visual check that a circuit breaker performs an instantaneous tripping operation due to a short circuit current without using an alarm switch of an accessory device and to enhance safety by holding a tripping mechanism to a tripping position.
SOLUTION: The circuit breaker comprises an open/close mechanism 4 of a contactor, a manual operation handle 3 and an instantaneous tripper 8 which detects a short circuit current and works. The instantaneous tripper 8 is joined to a latch hook 6a of the open/close mechanism by a tripping member 9 which slides up and down so that the mechanism trips instantaneously when the short circuit current occurs. A tripping indication member 11 of a spring strip having a hooking projection 11a for identification is joined to the tripping member and a tripping indication window 2a-1 is formed on a case cover 2a facing to the indication member. When the breaker performs an instantaneous tripping operation, the indication member moves to a position of indication and the hooking projection is hooked to the window and then can be visually checked.
