    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an electric contact reliability.
      SOLUTION: A power-off device 1 consists of a housing 4, a rotary switch 2, and a torsion coil spring 3. A power supply side terminal 10 and a load side terminal 11 are stored in predetermined positions of the housing 4, and a conductive element 7 is equipped with the rotary switch 2. The torsion coil spring 3 reaches its maximum flexure just before the conductive element 7, previously contacting the load side terminal 11, contacts the power supply side terminal 10 by turning the rotary switch 2. This increases turning speed of the rotary switch 2 just before the power supply side terminal 10 and the load side terminal 11 short-circuit, and an arc discharge is easily extinguished.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the vibration of plate springs themselves by means of their mutual overlap for reducing hitting noise or vibration noise arranging in parallel a plurality of plate springs, in each of which both ends are supported in the recessed parts in armor side walls, while an intermediate part is engaged with the side face in a cam snap-action part, in one position. SOLUTION: When a shaft 6 is turned, an operation part 7a in the end face of a cam 7 presses/releases a movable plate 4, and a movable contact 4A arranged at the tip of the movable plate 4 is brought into contact with/separated from a fixed contact 3A to close/open a circuit. In this process, a snap-action part 7b in the teeth type cam 7 consisting of crests and valleys is engaged with a plate spring 8, which is supported in recessed parts on the armor 2 sidewall via its both ends and provided with a flat cross sectional shape, and performs a snap action. When the plate spring 8 is pressed and reaches a dead point according to the rotation of the shaft 6, a rotational force is applied to the cam 7, and a crest 7B in the teeth type cam 7 engaged with the crest in the plate spring 8 reaches the next contact position quickly. Since a plurality of plate springs 8 are layered in one position, noise can be suppressed. Alternatively, in the plate spring 8, the intermediate part is covered by a resin tube, or the end part is supported by an elastic member attached to it.
