    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high precision metering in a short time, while achieving a simple and compact structure.
SOLUTION: In this metering method, an object to be metered p is conveyed by a conveying device 2, dropped, and supplied for a measuring device 3 arranged below a discharge part 4a from a discharge part of the conveying device, and the object to be metered is measured by the measuring apparatus. The metering method is provided with both a first supplying process for supplying the object to be metered of the measuring device from the discharge part, until the amount of the object to be metered measured by the measuring device reaches a preliminary target amount set less than a final metering target amount of the object to be metered and a second supplying process for reducing the amount of supply less than in the first supplying process and supplying the object to be metered for the measuring device from the discharge part by recovering part of the object to be metered supplied for the measuring device from the discharge part, while the object to be metered is being dropped, after the amount of the object to be metered measured by the measuring device reaches the preliminary target amount. When the amount of the object to be metered measured by the measuring device reaches the final metering target amount, the supply of the object to be metered for the measuring device from the discharge part is stopped.

    • PURPOSE:To omit the weighing time of an article carried in a small-amount weighing hopper during the weighing time of total amount of the article by simultaneously controlling the weighing of and discharge from a large- to medium-amount weighing hopper and the small-amount weighing hopper. CONSTITUTION:A weighing and discharge control means supplies a large to medium quantity of article to a first weighing hopper 3 from a first supplying device 2 and, when the weight value of the hopper 3 measured with a load cell 11 reaches a preset small, value, stops the supply of the article from the device 2 and stores the weight value of the hopper 3. At the same time, the weighing and discharge control means makes the hopper 3 to start discharge and sets the target discharging amount of a second weighing hopper 5 based on the weight value of the hopper 3 and makes the hopper 5 to start discharge. Since the a large- to medium-amount discharge front the hopper 3 and small- amount discharge from the hopper and weighing of the discharged amounts are performed simultaneously, the weighing time required for carrying the article in the small-amount weighing hopper can be omitted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically charging powdered materials into a container, capable of lightening the workers' burden, avoiding their risk of inhaling the powdered materials, and carrying out a series of charging works with less assistance. SOLUTION: An apparatus for practicing this method includes a hopper 3 into which powdered materials are put, a vibrating feeder 5 for charging the powdered materials from the hopper 3 into a container 8 placed on a turn table 7, and weighing units 9, 9a, 10 capable of weighing the container 8 during the charge of the powdered materials into the container 8. When the container 8 is brought to a position where it is charged with the powdered materials, the weighing units 9, 9a are brought to a weighable position. Immediately before the time when the charge weight of the powdered materials into the container 8 reaches a predetermined value, the supply of the powdered materials from the hopper 3 to the vibrating feeder 5 is stopped, and the vibration of the vibrating feeder 5 is reduced. When the charge weight of the powdered materials into the container 8 reaches the predetermined value, the operation of the vibrating feeder 5 is stopped, and the weighing units 9, 9a are brought to a non-weighing position. Then the turn table 7 is turned by one pitch to bring the subsequent container 8 to the charging position.
