    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image correction data generation system, image correction data generation method, image correction data generation program, and image correction circuit for efficiently correcting display unevenness.
      SOLUTION: A control unit 21 of an image quality adjusting device 20 generates a test pattern, supplies it to a liquid crystal panel 10 and acquires an output image from a photographing camera 30. Then, bandpass filtering is performed on output image data and a correction value is calculated. When calculation of an image correction table is completed for all reference gradations, the image correction table is written in a ROM. An image signal for displaying an image on the liquid crystal panel 10 is supplied to the liquid crystal panel 10 and a correction circuit. The correction circuit that has acquired the image signal, refers to the image correction table recorded in the ROM 51 and acquires a linearly interpolated correction value. The liquid crystal panel 10 then displays thereon an image on the basis of the correction value acquired from the correction circuit and the image signal.

SOLUTION: A video image (e.g. digital signal having a band of 6 MHz) is distributed to a set-top box (STB) 14 via a compression coder 11, a distribution server 12, and a network 13. A low-pass filter 151 of an image quality monitoring apparatus 15 omits a high-pass component of a digital signal to be inputted, and inputs a luminance signal band-limited to 4 MHz into a PSNR calculator 153. A Y/C separator 152 separates a luminance signal and a color difference signal from an analog composite signal of an NTSC system to be outputted from the set-top box 14. The separated luminance signal Y has a band of 4 MHz. The PSNR calculator 153 uses a luminance signal from the low-band filter 151 and a luminance signal from the Y/C separator 152 as an input, and calculates PSNR between both.
