    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a compact PAR lamp with the loss in light restrained at the neck region.
      SOLUTION: In a hollow body 12 arranged along a longitudinal axis 14 of a compact PAR lamp 10, a light source capsule 20 is provided coaxially with the longitudinal axis 14. A first parabolic reflector 26 is formed in the hollow body 12. A second reflector 32 is formed in the hollow body 12 and extends from a narrow part 30 to a neck end 18. A open end part 16 is closed by a lens 34, and a base 36 is attached to the neck end 18. In an alternate embodiment, the light source 20 comprises an arc discharge vessel 44 containing electrodes 46, 48, and an arc gap 50 is defined in between terminals 46', 48' of the electrodes 46, 48; and the focus points of the second reflector 32, if it is ellipsoidal, matches the terminals 46', 48'.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source lamp and manufacturing method of the same preventing adherent particles from scattering toward a light emission part of a light emitting tube or an auxiliary reflection face of an auxiliary mirror even when the inorganic adherent injected for fixing the auxiliary mirror to the light emission tube is boiled.
      SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the light source lamp 1 includes an adherent injection process making a light reflection face 31 of the auxiliary mirror 30 face the light emission part 11 of the light emission tube 10, and injecting the adherent 50 into a gap between the auxiliary mirror 30 and the light emission tube 10, a heating and curing process heating the adherent 50 from light emission part 11 side of the light emission tube 10, and an assembling process assembling a reflector 20 to the light emission tube 10 on which, the auxiliary mirror 30 is fixed. For example, heated air is jetted or light is irradiated toward the adherent 50 from light emission part 11 side of the light emission tube 10. Furthermore, a projector is provided with an illumination optical system equipped with the light source lamp 1, a light modulation device, and a projection lens.
