    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel nozzle including an improved fuel injection design.SOLUTION: The system includes the fuel nozzle (12). The fuel nozzle (12) includes: a hub (44) with an axis line (45); a shroud (42) disposed around the hub (44); an air flow path (68) between the hub (44) and the shroud (42); a plurality of vanes (40) extending between the hub (44) and the shroud (42); the first fuel passage (50) connected to a plurality of first fuel outlets (54) disposed in the plurality of vanes (40). The fuel nozzle (12) also includes the second fuel passage (52) connected to a plurality of second fuel outlets (70) disposed on at least one of the hub (44) and/or the shroud (42). The plurality of second fuel outlets (70) are disposed between a downstream end (78) of the hub (44) and an upper axial direction distance.

The fuel nozzle assembly (28) further comprises an air injection feature 100 configured to flow secondary air (102) into the pre-mixing annulus (60) downstream of the swirler assembly (50) such that the secondary air (102) flows in a generally linear path longitudinally with respect to the pre-mixing annulus (60) and adjacent at least one of the outer burner tube (62) and the inner burner tube (64).
