    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide solidified steel making dust which makes dust produced in a steel production stage excellent in treatability for reutilization, and which is producible at a low cost without the incorporation of excessive additives, and to provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing solidified steel making dust, dust 10 containing steel produced in a steel production stage as a main component is charged inside a cylindrical compacting die 8 and is pressurized to be formed into a solidified product B. The solidified steel making dust B has a briquette shape, and is, e.g., made into a columnar body having a circular cross-sectional shape. The solidified steel making dust B has dimensions , e.g., a diameter of 50 to 100 mm and a height of 30 to 80 mm. Carbon or aluminum produced in the steel production stage may be mixed into the steel making dust 10 as a binder.
