    • PURPOSE:To form a heat-sealed part having a good shape and having no defect, by heat-sealing a thin pipe of palladium alloy by use of an inserting material consisting of a metal which has a good weldability with palladium and is capable of making solid solution with palladium in any proportion. CONSTITUTION:An inserting material 5 consisting of a metal such as Ni, Au, etc., which has a good weldability with palladium and is capable of making solid solution with palladium in any proportion is inserted into a tip 2 of a palladium alloy thin pipe 1, and the whole circumference of the thin pipe 1 and the inserting material 5 are set to a closely adhering state. Subsequently, this inserted part 4 is heated and melted in an inert gas atmosphere. In this case, the inserting material 5 is also melted partially, and a heat-sealed part 3 is formed. In this way, the tip part 2 of the thin pipe 1 adheres closely to the inserting material 5, a molten part of the thin pipe 1 is reduced, a good heat-sealed shape is obtained, and also such defects as a blowhole, a crack, etc. are not generated on the molten part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MIG welded joint for aluminum material and steel having enhanced soundness of a weld zone and excellent joint strength, and to provide a MIG welding process for aluminum material and steel by which soundness of a weld zone can be effectively enhanced by controlling heat input so as to be reduced when the MIG welding is performed by overlapping the aluminum material and the steel different in material one on another. SOLUTION: The MIG welded joint for the aluminum material and the steel is obtained by overlapping the aluminum material 12 and the steel 14 one on another and subjecting an end face part of the aluminum material 12 to the predetermined DC pulse MIG welding operation using a welding wire made of a 4000 0r 5000 series aluminum alloy, wherein the aluminum material 12 has a thickness P of 0.5-2.0 mm, the steel 14 has a thickness Q satisfying 0.6≤Q/P≤0.8, the welding wire 24 has a diameter L of 0.8-1.6 mm, and the penetration depth of the steel is ≤5% of the thickness of the steel.
