    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a smoke preventing screen device for an elevator capable of suppressing an increase of construction cost by avoiding a replacement construction of a jamb, shortening a construction period, suppressing the projecting amount of a new jamb from the existing jamb, and preventing the deterioration of a design property.
      SOLUTION: A screen wind-up means 40 includes first and second winding drums 41, 42 making axes of rotating shafts 41a, 42a agree with the frontage direction of a doorway, vertically separating from each other by a predetermined distance, and rotatably arranged in a screen storage frame 30; and a winding body member 43 endlessly coupled to the first and second winding drums 41, 42 to circulate. A screen 39 is wound up while being fixed to a winding body member 43 at a rear end. A stop frame 52 and a spindle 53 are installed at a tip of the screen 39 suspended from a slit 37.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure of a winding shaft storing case of a shutter device, capable of securing smooth rotation of a winding shaft having an end part supported by brackets, and stored inside the case.
      SOLUTION: The winding shaft 50 for winding and delivering a shutter curtain 30 for moving for opening and closing, is supported by the left-right brackets 51 and 52 having base parts 51A and 52A joined to an installation member 16 being an immovable member. The case 80 for storing the winding shaft 50 inside, is joined by a joining tool 82 only to projecting parts 51B and 52B arranged near the base parts 51A and 52A of the brackets 51 and 52. Thus, the case 80 and the brackets 51 and 52 are incompletely connected. Even if there is an error such as eccentricity in shafts 63 and 70 being a central shaft part of the winding shaft 50, the brackets 51 and 52 run out and move in the shaft direction of the winding shaft 50 with the base parts 51A and 52A as the center, and smoothly rotate the winding shaft 50.
