CONSTITUTION:The solid-state elastic body 15 made of foamed rubber, etc., is interposed between the internal surface of the upper wall part 1a of a fitting frame body 1 and the top surface of the cap 6 of the case 4. Further, the microswitch 16 is provided on the internal surface of the bottom part 1b of the frame body 1 below the case 4. Then the seismometer is fitted to a heater etc., through the frame body 1, the steel sphere 8 is stationary at the center part of the conic recessed sphere receiving surface 7 of the case 4, and the axis of a plunger 20 and the center of the steel sphere 8 are kept on the same vertical line G-G. Here, when vibration of an earthquake, etc., exceeds specific magnitude and the steel sphere 8 rolls and moves on the sphere receiving surface 7, the plunger 20 is displaced upward by receiving the return force of the opera tion lever 17 of the switch 16 through an operation lever 18, so the normally open contact of the switch 16 is made to detect the vibration.

And a moving body is composed of the plungers 12 and 15, the variation of a member 4 based on a hydrostatic pressure in a chamber X is converted into the axial travel of plungers 12 and 15 resulting in the opening and closing of electrical switching parts 26 and 36. Whereby, its structure is simplified resulting in the reduction in its manufacturing cost and pressure control with a high degree of accuracy, and assembling is facilitated resulting in the enhancement in productivity.

An automatic horizontal mechanism unit 5 automatically maintains a seismic unit comprising the pendulum weight 2, the movement conversion mechanism unit and the sensor 4 horizontal when the case 1 is slantly installed, while a damper unit 6 applies damping action to the automatic horizontal mechanism unit 5. The damper unit 6 comprises a flexible thin film 27 whose outer periphery 27a is fixed fluid-tightly with a slit remaining with an inner face of the top of a case cover 1B and viscous fluid 28 filled in the slit, and it permits the upper face of a movable member 24 of the automatic horizontal mechanism unit 5 to be in contact with the lower face of the flexible thin film 27.

CONSTITUTION:While a case 1 is fitted horizontally so that the center of the suspension shaft 9 of the pendulum weight 2 is vertical to, for example, a gas meter printed board, the movable contact 14 and fixed contact 18 of a contact switch mechanism 4 are separated from each other. When vibration of an earthquake which exceeds a set value is applied, the pendulum weight 2 is put in horizontal motion with acceleration and the suspension part at the upper end of the suspension shaft 9 fluctuates vertically, so that the horizontal motion is converted into the vertical motion. This vertical motion displaces the center disk part of the movable contact piece 13 upward elastically and the movable contact 14 abuts on the fixed contact 18 to turn the switch ON. Consequently, a couple of opposite external fixed terminals 7A and 7B are connected electrically through a coiled lead wire 22, a fixed terminal 20, etc., and specific detecting operation is performed.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a seismoscope of easy, small-sized constitution which displays an automatic leveling function and has stable operation characteristics even when roughly fitted by suspending and supporting a case by a fitting frame so that the case rotates and swings within a specific angle range so as to hold the horizontal attitude. CONSTITUTION:When the fitting frame body 12 is fitted to an instrument slantingly at less than a specific angle to the horizontal surface H, the case 1 rotates and swings on the fitting body 12 around the hemispherical surface part at the lower end of a suspension shaft 18 to maintain the horizontal attitude, so a steel sphere 3 neither moves nor abuts on the cylindrical plunger part 4A of a plunger 4, so the operation characteristics of the seismoscope are not affected. At such a time, an excessive swing between the fitting frame body 12 and case 1 is precluded by the damper function of an elastic body 19 which is a solid body. If vibration which exceeds a constant value is applied in this fitting state, the steel sphere 3 rolls and moves on the spherical body receiving surface 2 to collide against the cylindrical plunger part 4A of the plunger 4 and swing an actuator 5 into vibration sensing operation.
