摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the resolving power of an A/D converter with respect to a ship's speed and to detect the ship's speed with high accuracy, by providing an amplifying means having a plurality of mu-factors between a semiconductive pressure sensor and the A/D converter and selecting the output thereof corresponding to the ship's speed. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage of a semiconductive pressure sensor 1 is inputted to an A/D converter 3 through an amplifying means 2. Voltages respectively amplified at mu-factors 3-1 are outputted to the output terminals of the means 2 and inputted to the input channels CH1-CH3 of the converter 3. The converter 3 converts inputted voltages 0-1V to -256 stages of digital voltage signals. A speed operation means 9 uses an operation data map 10 to calculate a ship's speed but selects CH1 at first to read the output value of the converter 3 and calculates the ship's speed on the basis of a characteristic A when said value does not take the max. value, a characteristic B when the voltage value of CH2 does not take the max. value when said output value takes the max. value or a character C through the selection of CH3 when said voltage value takes the max. value to output the same.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate a voltage drop and noise and to protect a semiconductor pressure sensor from seawater, etc., by providing the semiconductor pressure sensor, a ship speed arithmetic means, and a display part such as a liquid crystal display part in the same housing. CONSTITUTION:A glass plate 14 for protection is fitted in the front surface of a front case 10 and a print panel 15, the liquid crystal display plate 16, a light guide plate 17 for illumination, and a reflecting plate 18 are fitted behind the glass plate 14. The semiconductor pressure sensor 21 as a speed detecting means is fitted to a rear case 11. Then the difference between pressure applied to a measurement pressure application part 22 and the atmospheric pressure strains the diaphragm of the pressure sensor 21 to cause variation in diffusion resistance value. The output voltage of the sensor 21 is supplied to a control circuit part 23 through a lead line. A circuit part 23 functions as a ship speed arithmetic means and processes the output voltage of the sensor 21 as prescribed to calculate a ship speed. Consequently, the signal line between the sensor 21, and speed arithmetic means and display part may be short, and the housing cuts off entering seawater, etc.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate a mechanical sliding mechanism and to improve reliability and detection accuracy by finding a ship speed value from the output of a semiconductor pressure sensor provided at the other terminal of a connection pipe whose opening is under water and faces to the moving direction of a ship. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of a connecting pipe 32 reaches the bow through the ship side and is connected to the opening 35 after running in the lower case 34 of an outboard motor. Further, the other terminal of the connecting pipe 32 is connected to the diaphragm (not shown in figure) of the semiconductor sensor 1. Hydraulic pressure applied to the opening during sailing is applied to the sensor 1 through the air in the connecting pipe 32 and the sensor 1 outputs a voltage corresponding to the pressure. The voltage is sent to a speedometer 36 through a signal line 38 and converted into the ship speed, which is displayed. Consequently, no mechanical sliding mechanism is required and the reliability and accuracy are improved.
