    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily measuring concentration of a nonionic surfactant in an aqueous solution at a low cost without requiring skill.SOLUTION: The separation method of a nonionic surfactant comprises: a salt saturation step of dissolving salt until saturated in an aqueous solution in which the nonionic surfactant is dissolved; and a layer separation step of reducing the cloud point of the nonionic surfactant by increasing salt concentration to deposit the nonionic surfactant and increasing the specific gravity of the remaining aqueous solution rather than that of the deposited nonionic surfactant to perform layer separation between the nonionic surfactant and the aqueous solution.

    • PURPOSE:To improve seizure resisting performance by sintering an adhering layer on a back metal and lining layer on the adhering layer and impregnating said respective layers with oil to constitute the lining layer of a material consisting of a specified amount of Sn, graphite and Cu. CONSTITUTION:A back metal 2 having adhering powder 5 scattered thereon is passed through a first sintering furnace 6 to form an adhering layer 7. Next, powder 9 for a lining layer consisting of 2-10% Sn, 4-8% graphite and Cu for the rest is scattered on the surface of the adhering layer 7. Then, the back metal is rolled and passed through a second sintering furnace 11 to form a lining layer 12, and then again rolled and passed through a third sintering furnace 4 to be coiled. Thereafter, it is formed as a bearing to be immersed in an oil tank and impregnated with oil in the adhering and lining layers 7, 12. By said processes the powder 9 for the lining layer intrudes into details in the adhering layer 7, and after sintering the lining layer 12 is scattered and included finely in the adhering layer 7 to improve the adhering strength and seizure resisting property.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a copper-based sliding material having excellent bearing characteristics, particularly having excellent wear resistance and seizing resistance under the condition of boundary lubrication in a material which contains specific amounts of graphite, alumina and the balance copper by dispersing said alumina grains into the copper matrix. CONSTITUTION:The copper-based sliding material consisting of, by weight, 1-10% particularly 1-3% graphite, 1-7% particularly 1.5-3% alumina and the balance copper and in which the alumina grains are dispersed into the copper matrix is provided. In said material, the alumina grains 3 are taken in the copper grains as the matrix which provides strength and heat resistance to the sliding material and the graphite 2 as a solid lubricant exists around the copper grains 1 as shown in the drawing. In the above-mentioned constitution, the alumina grains 3 which improve wear resistance are tightly retained by the copper grains 1 and do not fall off even when exposed to a sliding surface 4. Said sliding material therefore has drastically improved wear resistance and seizing resistance under the condition of boundary lubrication.
