    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install propulsion coils in side walls preventing deformation of the coils.
      SOLUTION: In a ground coil device for a magnetically levitated transportation system, the propulsion coils 5 to 7 and levitation coils 10 formed with cables wound around the coils are installed in the side walls 2 of a track 1 so that these coils may be opposite each other, then superconducting coils 4 mounted on the magnetically levitated vehicle 3 and the propulsion coils 5 to 7 are arranged oppositely with the levitation coils 10 placed therebetween. The coil device includes spools 8 of resin and fixing means 11, wherein the spools are provided with installing portions to be fixed to the side walls 2, and are wound by the propulsion coils 5 to 7 around the spools, and fixing means fix the propulsion coils 5 to 7 and the levitating coils 10 to the side walls 2 through the installing portions of the spools 8 so that the propulsion coils 5 to 7 may be pressed by the levitating coils 10.

    • PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency of a stator, by a method wherein refrigerant is circulated between a heat exchanger and a refrigerant reservoir utilizing rotational force of an axle, and heat is radiated in the open air. CONSTITUTION:A stator 20 of a linear motor is constituted by a coil 1a and a core 1b of a silicon steel plate. A beam 1e serves as reinforcement of the core 1b and also carries the rotor 20 to an axle 2 of a wheel 3. An end portion of the coil 1a is protected by a protective cover 1d. In this case, a refrigerant reservoir 6 mounted in close contact state to a rear surface of the core 1b for storing water, for example, as a refrigerant 10, an impeller 7 of refrigerant feed means installed to the axle 2 for discharging the refrigerant 10 from the refrigerant reservoir 6, and a heat exchanger 9 are provided. Then heat produced from the core 1b and the coil 1a is transmitted to the refrigerant 10 in the refrigerant reservoir 6, and the refrigerant 10 is fed to the heat exchanger 9 by the impeller 7 thereby the transmitted heat is radiated to the open air.
