摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the service to users by starting a holding timer in response to the answer of a called subscriber, and storing the coins of an amount larger than a call charge before the timer is counted up to continue an exchange connection state. CONSTITUTION:A holding timer provided within a CPU7 is started by the answer of a called subscriber, and a call is connected when it is decided that the unused amount shown by the sum total of stored coins is larger than the corresponding call charge. While the opening of a DC loop is held within the set time of the timer even though the amount of the stored coins is less than the call charge and at the same time the called subscriber gives an answer immediately after dialing. If the coins are added while the opening of the DC loop is held, the exchange connection state is continued.

Then a relay GS is driven and abnormality information is transmitted to a management center. Thus, the illegal opening of the door is informed earlier.

CONSTITUTION:A public telephone set consists of a telephone circuit part 10, a control part 20 and a coin processing part 30. In the case of an off-hook or detachment of a cashbox, a relay control circuit 50 actuates a contact gs in response to the actuation of a hook switch 40 or a cashbox switch 100. As a result, a DC loop is closed to a trunk line. At the same time, a CPU22 works to check the normal state of the trunk line. In addition, an inspection is given to the data on the coin collecting state of the cashbox which is stored in an RAM24. Thus a self-diagnosis is performed. If any item of diagnosis is not normal, this fault is displayed at a display circuit 60. Then the CPU22 opens a loop by controlling a forcible cut-off circuit 14 and then closes the loop again to give a dial transmission to the area to be informed in response to the type of the fault.

CONSTITUTION:After a telephone call, a CPU22 accesses an ROM23 to calculate the unpaid telephone charge and decides on the combination of the kinds and numbers of coins to be accepted among inserted coins to calculate the amount of coins to be returned to the calling subscriber, thereby displaying the amount to be returned on the display of a display circuit 60. Prior to said reckoning processing, the contents of the tariff register of an RAM24 are corrected. In the buffer register of the ROM24, the number of inserted coins is stored. Said corrected unpaid telephone charge is transferred to the tariff register of the RAM24 to perform storage frequency processing. Namely, the frequency of storage is calculated from the relation between the unpaid telephone charge and the amount of coins and the actual frequency of storage is determined on the basis of the relation between with the number of inserted coins and then stored. In said process, the total amount of all inserted coins is calculated after the combination of the kinds and numbers of inserted coins to be accepted is determined, and the total amount of inserted coins to be accepted is subtracted from said total amount to obtain the amount of money to be returned.

The control part 20 counts and stores a charging signal generated during the telephone call to sum up the charge for the telephone call to be accepted and at specific intervals of time during the telephone call and after on-hook operation, the kinds and numbers of coins to be accepted are calculated on the basis of the amount of inserted coins and the charge to be accepted to allow the coin handling part 30 to accept coins of specified kinds at the same time. The counterfeit coin normal coins inserted after it, and the remaining coins of other kinds are returned after said handling is carried out on the ending of the telephone call.

The control part 20 performs arithmetic as mentioned above so that the charge to be accepted is zero on the telephone call and the loss of a user is minimized, and the coin handling part 30 accepts the coins.

On the dial oscillation, the switchboard makes a connection and when the called subscriber answers, circuit TM is actuated to drive coin storing circuit CS when clocking output 350ms is held at H, so that coins in readiness will be stored.
