CONSTITUTION:When the input of a coin is detected, the power supply of a LED is turned ON. At the same time, a binary counter 10 is reset. The value is set at '0.' Then, the value of the counter 10 is read and stored, and the judgment for the determination of the initial value is performed. The initial value is stored. The value of the counter 10 is read again. The data values which are read at this time are compared with the initial value. When the data values disagree with the initial value, measurement starting is judged, and the datum value which is read at this time is stored. The value of the counter 10 is read out again. The end of measurement is judged based on the agreement between the data value which is read at this time and the initial value. The outer-diameter data of the coin are operated and determined based on the data value which is read at this time and the initial value. In this way, the accurate selection of the outer diameter of the hard currency can be performed.

In addition, the storing part is moved for the portion of three racks at most per one housing operation (including storing operation) to reduce the power consumption of the device.
