The girder member 2a is reinforced with a connecting member 10 made of H steel or the like. Then the tension is given to the chord members 3 with a jack or the like, and a string beam structured roof is constructed therewith. Thereby stress can be transmitted smoothly and effectively to the girder member with a small jack.

摘要： PURPOSE:To relieve tensile force applied to chord members by erecting supports for a ring girder that connects girders and the chord members installed radially at the center in the direction bisecting an angle formed by the chord member and a plane on which a ring connecting the chord members is installed. CONSTITUTION:Girders 4 that are placed radially are connected with a compression ring 11 at the center of a roof that is built without a center column. Then chord members 6 installed to the underside of the girders 4 are connected with a tension ring 12. Furthermore the compression ring 11 and the tension ring 12 are connected with supports 13, and a ring girder 10 is constructed therewith. The support 13 is so erected that the same stands along the direction of resultant force of tensile forces applied to the chord members 6 and to the tension ring 12; namely along a bisector for an angle C. Thereby tensile force applied to the chord members 6 can be relieved.
