    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object search method which eliminates a need of wiring for interconnection when an AC generator is connected to a long object. SOLUTION: Two output terminals of the AC generator 20 are connected respectively to two parts separated in the longitudinal direction of the long object 30, an AC current is supplied across the two parts so as to generate an AC magnetic field around the long object 30, and the position of the long object 30 is searched on the basis of a magnitude of an induced current induced in a receiving coil which is provided at a searching device 10 and which can detect the AC magnetic field. At this time, the output terminal on one side of the AC generator 20 and the long object 30 are connected via an existing conductive interconnection 50 or a pipe, and the output terminal on the other side of the AC generator 20 and the long object 30 are connected directly or via an existing conductive interconnection or a conductive connecting medium other than a pipe. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the drop of the occlusion performance of hydrogen occluding alloy, by facilitating the handling of the hydrogen occluding alloy. SOLUTION: This absorptive freezer is provided with a plurality of hydrogen occluding alloy 83 in the shape of short rings, within a hydrogen occluding storage 80 provided on the main tank of a noncondensing gas storage to store noncondensing gas, and a ceramic heater 84 is inserted into the insertion hole of the center member at its center. When the ceramic heater 84 is supplied with a current, heat is conducted to it from inside the hydrogen occluding alloy 83, and the temperature goes up, and the oxide film at the surface is broken, and it is activated. Moreover, since the water does not condense, the moisture does not adhere to the surface, and it does not produce a water screen, so the occlusion performance of hydrogen gas is secured. Since a ceramic heater 84 is arranged at the center of the hydrogen storage 80, the heat conductivity to the hydrogen occluding alloy 84 is good, and it can suppress the power consumption. The quantity of heat insulating material provided outside the hydrogen storage 80 gets off small. The quantity of occlusion can be adjusted by the number of pieces of hydrogen occluding alloy 83.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbing type air conditioner in which superior quality of cooling water is assured and a cooling capability is prevented from being reduced, due to reduction in heat transfer efficiency for the cooling water caused by adhesion of scale (material in which water film of polluted water is dried) at an inner wall. SOLUTION: An absorbing type air conditioner A is operated in such manner; when an accumulated cooling operation time becomes more than a predetermined period of time, a controller 9 opens a water discharging valve 121 after stopping a cooling operation so as to perform an entire discharging of cooling water 10 in a cooling water circuit 1; the water discharging valve 121 is closed after the entire discharging of water is carried out; a water feeding valve 221 is opened, the cooling water 10 is fed to the cooling water circuit 1; a cooling water replacing operation for replacing the cooling water 10 in the cooling water circuit 1 is performed; and, after completion of the replacing operation, a cooling water pump 13 is operated for a set period of time and then the accumulated cooling operation time is returned to zero after the set time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the generation of offensive odor in all possible regions and failure such as clogging of a cooling water circuit while restricting waste of a water source and of water supply charge in all possible regions and moreover, enable treatment for preventing repetition of failure when it occurs attributed to the supply quantity of the cooling water. SOLUTION: A cooling water tank 65 below a cooling column 61 is provided with a drain port 66 from which cooling water exceeding a specified amount of water flows outside. The time for opening a water supply valve 60 is set considering the time until the water level reaches a high level from the low level so that the cooling water is supplied up to the supply quantity set by a switching means 76 when the water level in the cooling water tank 65 is down to a low level. As a result, the cooling water tank 65 is replenished with the cooling water while excessive cooling water is applied to the cooling water tank 65 to dilute the cooling water. Thus, the amount of water supplied can be set by the switching means 76 thereby assuring a proper amount of water supplied in all possible regions.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase freezing capability by surely forcing a medium concentration absorption solution to flow down over the entire surface of a solvent vapor tank into a uniform thin-film configuration. SOLUTION: In an absorption freezer wherein it includes a high temperature regenerator 1, a separation cylinder 2, a solvent vapor tank 4 for storing solvent vapor produced in the separation cylinder 2, and medium concentration absorption solution supply means for supplying a medium concentration absorption solution to the outer surface of the solvent vapor tank 4, and further a low- temperature regenerator for producing a high-concentration absorption solution and the solvent vapor by heating the medium concentration absorption solution by making use of condensation heat of the solvent vapor, the low-temperature regenerator 3 additionally includes a separator 5 for the medium concentration absorption solution having an upper cylinder section equipped vapor hole, through which a vaporized solvent flows out and a lower cylinder section equipped solution hole through which the medium concentration absorption solution is forced to flow down to the upper end of the solvent vapor tank 4.
