Each optical fiber cable 2 has optical fiber wires 4 in a metallic plastic laminate unit sheath 3. An inclusion 5 impregnated with jerry 8 is packed in a gap among the optical fiber cable units 2, a pressure winding layer 7 of nylon, etc., is provided around the external circumference of the optical cable core 6, and a metallic plastic laminate cable sheath 9 is provided around its external circumference. Therefore, the outflow of the jerry at a connection part is prevented and airtightness is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the measuring accuracy, by measuring the propagation angle distribution of each optical fiber at the input and output side to obtain the dependancy and amount of transition of the propagation angle of junction loss. CONSTITUTION:By taking the distance between the LED 7 and the lens 8, lens 8 and space filter 9, and filter 9 and lens 10 as the focus distance of each lens, the light having fine propagation angle width is incident to the incident optical fiber 11. Further, at the emission side, by taking the distance between the emission side fiber 13 and the lens 14, lens 14 and silicon visicon TV camera 15 as the focus of the lens 14 respectively, the propagation angle distribution at the emission side of the fiber 13 is measured by observing the remote field image with the camera 15. Accordingly, by suitably selecting the space filter 9, the dependancy and transition amount on the propagation angle can be obtained, allowing to measure geometrical imcompleteness of optical fiber optically and with high accuracy.

Consequently, the optical fiber and cable are equal in length to each other and neither the application of tension to the optical fiber nor the leading-in shift of the terminal is caused when the optical fiber is wound another drum and drawn. Further, a metallic layer 7 is provided on the internal surface of the pipe shaped cavity part 5 to form a metallic pipe shaped cavity part.
