    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the maintenance of a ballast scattering preventing device by forming a ballast scattering preventing member made of resilient materials in a thick plate shape having a length longer than that of a sleeper, and by forming a fixing means for inhibiting back and forth movements of the preventing member, from a stationary block and locking fixtures locked to both ends of the preventing member. CONSTITUTION:A scattering preventing member 11 made of resilient materials is formed in a thick plate shape having a length longer than a concrete sleeper 12, and a tapered section 11a having an inclination equal to that of the inclination of the preventing member is formed beneath one side surface of the latter so that it is made into close contact with a side surface of the sleeper 12 upon laying thereof. Further, the upper end part of the preventing member 11 is projected from the top surface 12a of the sleeper 12 and is tapered so as to decrease its thickness upward, and the lower half section of a rail 13 is fitted in a rail fitting part 14. Further, a fixing means is composed of a fixing block 15 and engaging fixtures 16 which are removably mounted to the block 15 and fixed onto and locked to both ends of the preventing member 11. With this arrangement, it is possible to facilitate the maintenance works such as the stabbing and hardening of the railway floor and the like.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral-side cavity blocking structure which blocks a cavity on a lateral side of a rail in cases other than traveling of trains, is deformable when a flange of a wheel of a railroad train travels thereon, is free from slipout even upon application of an impact, and provides safe crossing of the rail to a wheelchair, a bicycle, etc., and to provide a lateral-side cavity blocking method for blocking the cavity on the lateral side of the rail.
      SOLUTION: The lateral-side cavity blocking structure is formed of a prestressing (PC) bar support fitting 45A arranged in a tightly connected precast concrete track board 138, first and second prestressing bars 43A, 44A arranged in the same, and a blocking rubber member 40 having a deformable void H, and first and second housing grooves 41, 42. The deformable void H is formed like a beam and enclosed by a ceiling thin wall portion C1, a side thin wall portion C3, etc. The first housing groove 41 is formed below the deformable void like a recess and extends in a longitudinal direction. The first housing groove 41 houses therein the first prestressing bar 43A and opens leftward. The second housing groove 42 is formed like a recess and extends in the longitudinal direction. The second housing groove 42 houses therein the second prestressing bar 44A and opens rightward.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve repair efficiency by cutting a fitting groove formed in the upper end of the vertical part of a fitting in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the main track rail, and installing a fixing means of a guard member on the fitting with a support piece rotatably pivoted in the fitting groove. SOLUTION: At the time of fitting a guard member C, a contact surface 27 of a fitting A is placed on the top face 52 of a sleeper D through a track pad 33. Next an engagement part 23 is engaged with one side rail skirt part 41a of the main track rail B, and a rail presser 25 is fitted between a side wall 24 and the other side rail skirt part 41b. A fixing bolt 26 is fastened to fix the fitting A to the main track rail B, a support piece 30 is pivoted in a fitting groove 28 by a hinge bolt 31, and an overturning preventing pin 32 is passed through the piece to be fixed. Further a guard member C is placed and temporarily fixed to the support piece 30, and then the preventing pin 32 is pulled out to turn the support piece 30, and the member C is overturned and welded. Thus, the guard member C can be fixed only by turning the support piece 30 to raise the guard member C and passing the preventing pin 32 so as to further improve work efficiency.
