摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer useful as an extrusion molding aid for cement materials, which is composed mainly of a water-soluble polyalkylene glycol. SOLUTION: This polymer has recurring units of formulas I and II wherein the molar ratio of the units of formula I ranges from 0.5 to 0.999 and the molar ratio of the units of formula II ranges from 0.001 to 0.5 and wherein A represents a water-soluble polyalkylene glycol residue having a hydroxyl group at ends thereof and a number average molecular weight of 400 to 100,000; B represents a residue of a 3-18C diisocyanate compound selected from chain-like aliphatic, cyclic aliphatic and aromatic diisocyanates; D represents a micellar hydrophobic diol residue of formula III; (a+a')=0 to 100; (b+b')=1.5 to 6.0; V represents a group of formula IV or the like (wherein R represents 1-15C alkylene, phenylene, naphthylene, aralkylene or alkyl-substituted phenylene); and X, X' and Y independently represent a group of formula V or the like (wherein R represents 3-21C alkylene, phenyl, aralkyl or alkyl-substituted phenyl; and (m) is 1 to 20). The polymer has a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 10,000,000.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binder useful for seedling-raising soil suitable for transplanting crop seedlings by the use of a machine, or the like, by using a water-soluble acrylamide-based copolymer produced by copolymerizing an N-allyl-substituted alkenyl succinic acid half ester in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This binder having excellent water resistance comprises a water- soluble acrylamide-based polymer copolymerized with 0.01-1 mol.% of an N-allyl- substituted succinic acid half ester (salt). The water-soluble acrylamide-based copolymer is prepared, for example, by mixing a 30 wt.% aqueous solution of acrylamide monomer with 0.01-1 mol.wt. of the N-allyl-substituted succinic acid half ester (salt) of the formula (M is H, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium or an organic base; R is a 10-25C alkenyl and subsequently copolymerizing the mixture in the presence of ammonium persulfate as a polymerization initiator in a heat-insulating vessel. The binder can be added and mixed with soil in an amount of 0.1-5 wt.% to obtain a seedling-raising culture soil which is suitable for transplanting crop seedlings by the use of a machine and has excellent preservability.
