    • PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized inexpensive hot air heater by a method wherein the hot air heater is provided with a combustion case having a radiation surface with its flame being appeared from outside, a hot air passage for making air sucked between it and the radiation surface into hot air, and an outer radiation surface with the flame appeared from outside. CONSTITUTION:Mixture gas with air supplied to a burner 21 is ignited after ignition and then a flame 22 is formed in a combustion chamber 27. As air blowers 29 and 28a are rotated, the surrounding air flows from a suction port 25, combustion exhaust gas of the combustion chamber 27 is discharged out of an opening 30, descends hot air passages 25 and 25a, mixed with the surrounding air to become hot air and then the gas is discharged out of the blowing ports 26 and 26a through air blowers 28 and 28a. The hot air performs a heat exchanging between the radiation surfaces 23a and 23b to get heat. A flame of the burner 21 can be seen from a front side and a rear side of the equipment due to the fact that the parts of the radiation surfaces 23a and 23b and the outer radiation surfaces 24a and 24b at which the flame can be seen are composed of heat-resistant transparent glass. With such an arrangement, it is possible to prevent a human body from contacting the outer radiation surfaces 24a and 24b and a part corresponding to the shield case can be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent movement to the high temperature section of a hot-air path of a combustible even when the combustible is inserted from a diffuser by mistake by installing an obstruction, which does not function as a path resistor, to a section near the air blower side of the hot-air path between a combustion chamber in the upper section of an air blower and the air blower. CONSTITUTION:A hot-air path 6a communicates with an air blower chamber 1a and a combustion chamber 8 positioned at a section upper than the chamber 1a. An obstruction 9 composed of a thin bar is traversedly provided between a section near the air blower 1 side of the hot-air path 6a and a sidewall in an instrument body 2a to the section near the air blower 1 side. Gauzes or plate pieces in narrow width may be juxtaposed at a proper interval when they hardly resist a hot-air current. When a combustible such as paper is inserted up to the air blower chamber 1a from a diffuser 4 by mistake, it collides with the obstruction 9, and does not reach up to the high temperature section 6b of the wall 6 of the combustion chamber in the inward section of the hot-air path 6a more than that. Accordingly, the firing, burning, etc. of the combustible can be prevented, thus safely using an instrument.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain uniform heating in either case of high or low combustion by a method wherein one of air-flow direction control plates at a hot air outlet port is directed more downwardly during a low burning operation than the direction in which the same is directed during a high burning operation. CONSTITUTION:When a burner body 1 works in high combustion, an air-flow direction control plate 14 is directed in a substantially horizontal direction, and high-temperature air is blown forwardly out of a hot air heater, without being blown downwardly. On the other hand, when the burner body 1 works in low combustion, a spring 15 made of shape memory alloy acts so that the air-flow direction control plate 14 is directed downwardly, and a space (30-80cm) on a floor surface can be uniformly heated by hot air at a low temperature and with a small air quantity. Moreover, as substitution for the spring 15, a bimetal may be optionally used. Further, the temperature of the hot air is detected by a thermistor, or pressure is detected by an air pressure switch, to generate a signal for operating a motor, whereby the angle of the air-flow direction control plate 14 may be optionally varied.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the danger such as a damage to equipment, fire hazard, etc., by detecting the overheating due to the closing of a suction port by a temperature sensor and comparing the detected temperature with set temperatures in a plurality of stages by a temperature judging means to conduct suitable operation control. CONSTITUTION:Temperature T which is detected by a temperature sensor 8 is always compared by a temperature judgement device 12 with temperature TL which is set by a low level temperature setting device 9, temperature TM which is set by a medium temperature setting device 10, and temperature TH which is set by a high level temperature setting device 11 respectively. When T>=TH, the temperature judging device 12 sends a signal to an alarm device 13, and it operates and notifies the outside the clogging of the mesh of a filter 6 but the operation continues. Next, when T>=TM, the temperature judging device 12 sends a signal to an operation control device 14 to force its amount of combustion to be reduced. Further, when T>=TH, the temperature judging device 12 sends a signal to the operation control device 14 to stop the operation.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of poisonous gas even when a suction port is blocked partially or the whole of the suction port is blocked, by a method wherein a rear heat shielding panel is provided with the opening of a small area, such as slits or the like, for intaking auxiliary air for combustion at a position having a height substantially equal to the same of the flame port of a burner for combustion. CONSTITUTION:Even when the vicinity of the inlet ports 10a of air passageways 2a, 3a is blocked by a curtain or the like during the operation of a warm-air heater and the resistance of the air passageway 2a is increased and the amount of air, passing through the air passageway 2a, becomes smaller than the same, passing through the air passageway 3a, air is sucked through the upper part of the suction port 10. Air, guided into a space between the rear heat shielding panel 2 and a filter 9, is supplied to the flame of a burner 1 for combustion through an auxiliary air port 2b, provided on the rear heat shielding panel 2, along a protrusion 2c in order to compensate the shortage of the amount of combustion air or the collapse of the balance of the same. Further, air is sucked through an auxiliary air port 2b usually and not limited upon being blocked therefore, the length of the flame of the burner 1 for combustion may be shortened and the combustion performance of the title heater may also be improved at the same time.
